^ When did you stop watching, SB? At what point?

Just curious....
IIRC, some time during the fifth season. The show started to bore me around then, and to sort of disappear up its own mythos (so to speak). Too many questions, too many conspiracies, too few explanations that made anything resembling sense, too many ends that never looked like being tied.

I dipped back in towards the end, and I actually didn't mind the final season. But I never regained my initial enthusiasm, when nothing short of a family emergency or natural disaster would have made me miss an episode.

^ Yeah...around season 5, things do start to get pretty confusing, that's for sure....

I'm hoping they work it out, myself! :)

Oh...and for all of you who don't post in the Misc Christmas Tree thread....here is my Christmas tree, which we put up last night! I took the picture of Coaster, our tree, and one of my dogs. Coaster, of course, did the photoshopping!

Rygelxmas.jpg

^ That's a cool tree. :D I like big x-mas trees. They always give rooms such a festive feel.
Rygel is a really cute puppy. Man that just reminded me of how much I miss my puppy. But hey, I get to see her in 11 days! :D

Huh? A nice comment about the tree, a cut comment about the dog, but no note of how cute and studly coaster is?? I'm so hurt and disillusioned... :(

;)

^ Awww...I'm sorry buddy. Everyone knows how cute and adorable you are. I didn't even think it had to be mentioned. ;)

^Lemonade?

Still randomly skipping through season 7, and it's nice to see why I always put this show on nr 1 :)

^ Yeah it's a great show. I do have to say that S7 (and some of the other parts of the show) works better in proper order. It just has an even better flow to it. :)

Hmm, how tall is that tree, Vash? Looks like coaster ain't that big of a man after all! I could take him :p Not that I'm trying to or that I want to fight for Vash's hand or anything, being her brother and finding the incest thing slightly intriguing but undesirable overall....

Just gotta size him up. It's a Klingon thing

Not so much confusing, Vash, as ridiculous - IMHO, anyway. I don't mind keeping track of a lot of detail so long as most (or all) of it comes together at some stage of things. Like, say, Babylon 5. ;) That never looked like happening with X-Files.

Great pic, btw. ;)

I'm funny like that :D
Oh, dear...so many things I could say here... But as a yellow person runs this forum I'd better resist. :D

Actually, Rygel is a full grown dog. :p All 5 lbs of him!

And did you see The Sisko on the tree? If you look at about the same level as Rygel's head, and up just a bit, you can see the Sisko ornament.

It's the only Trek ornament on the tree!

Hey, my dog's 14 years old and I still call her a puppy. :D She's 10 lb little rugrat. :) And yeah I saw the Sisko ornament (after you pointed it out). It looks cool. :D

Anyway, today was my last day of classes for this quarter. I've got finals next week, that should be crazy.
We also have our first Capstone interview tomorrow. Capstone is basically a big project that we do for a local company in the last quarter of our program. There's a couple of really good projects and hopefully we'll get one of them. :)

Happy Monday! ;)

Well, I saw Blade: Trinity and Ocean's 12 this weekend. Blade kinda disappointed me. It was still vampire-slicing fun, and I love Abigail Whistler's UV bat'leth  But it seemed to me Goyer put in a few too many moments that just seemed ho hum. It didn't have real comic flash like Guillermo del Toro put in Blade II or deep personal angst like the first Blade. The parts that should've been gripping just weren't. It's obvious Goyer's trying to build up the new team, the Nightstalkers, but Blade still had a lot of good screen time. I probably read one site's reviews too much (chud.com), but they praise Ryan Reynolds for being the real "star" of the show. He's really just the comic relief. If he wasn't there, it wouldn't have really affected the movie one bit. It just would've been less funny, and I'm more into Blade's dry humor anyway  I still enjoyed the movie, but I think it's probably time to hang up Blade's... blade... for a while anyway.

Wasn't there news that the Batman Begins trailer would be out with Blade: Trinity? I don't remember, but I didn't see it. Saw it online though; man, I'm salivating I wanna see that flick so bad :D

But Ocean's 12 was a blast! A riot from the beginning, and a good follow up to the original. I like that they didn't go on to some completely new job with no consequences from the original. Terry Benedict is really out for blood or his money back, and that's why Ocean's 11 comes back together. The new storylines come in as a result of what they have to do to try to rectify with Benedict. There are also some new elements and twists that make things fun. They've again acomplished having a good movie with major stars where they're not trying to outdo each other or get star billing. They just have a great time. I can't talk too much more about it without spoiling things, but if you liked the first one, check this one out asap!

Hey all,

My weekend was just as one would expect if they were studying for Finals. Dull, boring, and wishing this week would end. Despite that though, it was a productive weekend. I think this friday I'm planning to go see a few movies, Ocean's 12 and maybe Lemony Snickets. (Even though the fact that it's produced by Nickolodian Studios kind kind of turning me off) Than on sunday, I'm going up to ahoe, so my life doesn't completely suck now.

Man, this lounge is sinking faster than Michael Jackson's life as a free man :wtf:

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all!

I'll prolly be around here for the duration of the holiday season, I just thought I'd get that out there for anyone who won't be around.

So is anyone doing anything special for the holidays? My folks & I will be traveling just a little to spend Christmas day with my brother & his family. After that, I'm gonna find a quiet place in my house where I don't have to spend much money or do much work. Chill the rest of my vacation

^ Yeah this place has been pretty dead, which really sucks.

Anyway...I'm flying back home for the holidays today. I'll be gone for two weeks. I'm actually really looking forward to it, it should be fun. :)

I also finished my finals last week, so I'm happy about that. I still need to get the results, but I'm pretty sure I passed all of them.

We also got a great Capstone project. We'll be building an application for the Canadian Government (National Forestry Centre or something like M<that). It's the project we wanted to get the most, and we beat out four other teams for it. :)

Anyway...I gotta go get ready, we're leaving soon. :) I'll talk to you guys about two days or so. And Merry Chrismukkah to everyone. :D

Hi guys!

Well, I've been off the board alot this week. Been busy with work, Christmas shopping, spending some time with coaster when he is home, playing The Sims for a contest I'm in...and watching our giant screen TV that we bought ourselves for Christmas.

Coaster has posted pictures of the TV somewhere on the board...I think in the football thread. It's really a nice TV - and HUGE.

I'm not used to having anything like this!

BigFoot....have a good trip home! Let us know when you get there!

^ You got a big TV? COOL!!! Good for you! :)

Oh...and I'm home, lol.

EDIT: I just checked the football thread, and wow, that is one nice (and big) TV. :D

Vash & coaster are buying big-ticket items together now. Wow, this thing's getting serious  :p Best wishes to you of course ;)

I'll have to make my way to that football thread. I didn't even realize one existed around here.

Hope you enjoy being @ home BigFoot! I haven't done ANY shopping yet. But I'll be off the rest for the rest of the year, starting today, so I'll probably brave a little of the traffic. On the Internet :D Nah, I'll likely hit a brick & mortar.

My brother asked me to see if I can find a particular toy for my niece. It's a Pricess Dora doll with hair that grows when you brush it. I guess this is one of the hot items this season, cause I can't find it in stores and it's sold out at Amazon. Ebay has had some hot sales for it; I don't want to get in a bidding war though. Does any one around here know of other good vendors?
