My birthday. That'd be fun to research: what was showing on tv on the day of your birth?Speaking of missing things the first time, I caught September 29, 1965 rerun of The Virginian last week and got a Trek three-fer:
Jim Reed's baby was born on the Adam-12 that aired the week of my birth; and Max and 99's twins on Get Smart the week after that, in the second half of a two-parter. It seems to have been a theme week.
I'm glad you were able to contribute to that theme.Jim Reed's baby was born on the Adam-12 that aired the week of my birth; and Max and 99's twins on Get Smart the week after that, in the second half of a two-parter. It seems to have been a theme week.
John Hoyt was on two weeks in a row, first in the 10-06-65 rerun of I Spy and then the 10-27-65 rerun of The Virginian.
Perry Lopez was also in the Virginian episode, "Ring of Silence."
^ I just watched that one yesterday.
In my case, it's a pure coincidence that my viewing lined up with the rerun date, as I've been watching the last 55th anniversary season delayed as a hiatus thing between 50th anniversary seasons.
Did you notice what happened with 12 O'Clock High where the 12th-aired episode ("We're Not Coming Back") was supposed to be the first part of a two-parter with the 5th-aired episode ("Big Brother")? This is why we didn't get a lot of episode-to-episode continuity in '60s TV, and in Trek's case, why they chose to split up "The Naked Time" and "Tomorrow Is Yesterday".
As my reply is not in the "timeline" or spirit of this thread I'm gonna $poiler code it.This is why we didn't get a lot of episode-to-episode continuity in '60s TV, and in Trek's case, why they chose to split up "The Naked Time" and "Tomorrow Is Yesterday".
