Feel free to speculate on what has happened to Voyager timeline from the fallout from Abram's movie.
#1) Andorians would join the Federation after seeing the destruction of Vulcan and how Starfleet gave up their lives to defend the planet. Thus Andorians would take the place of Vulcans participations in Starfleet, if not moreso by the time of Voyager.
#2) The remaining "pure" Vulcans would drop out of Starfleet in concentrating on rebuilding their population on a Vulcan colonial planet and maintaining their Vulcan legacy. It is possible that a few pure Vulcans will rejoin Starfleet by the time of Voyager, and that Tuvok can be onboard.
#3) Romulans would step up their campaigns of conquest when news reach Romulous of their sun destined to go supernova in their near future. For Romulan Empire to conquer the Federation, the Klingon Empire has to be out of the way if they seek the covetted prize of Earth as being their new home. More than likely, this warfare had crippled both empires and thus in no position to attack the Federation except to defend their borders. By the time of Voyager, Romulans shifted agendas by sending out ships to seek a new class M planet that they would call "home".
#4) Bajorans would still be in slavery due to the extra help needed in mining Dorvan V. That would mean Gul Dukat is still manning the spacestation dubbed as "Terok Nor", over Bajor, serving at the time of Voyager as a military supply depot for Cardassians battlecruisers protecting the borders as well as an occasional campaign expansions into Klingon territories. Terok Nor also serves as a place for shore leave and visiting aliens and neutral allies like the Federation.
#5) Dorvan V, the native American Indian planet from STNG's Journey's End, falls to Cardassia Prime. Like Bajor, the people are subjugated into slavery. It needs a new hero than just the Maquis on this one. By the time of Voyager, Starfleet would be looking for the inside help that the Maquis have been getting from Starfleet but did not know it. So it isn't just the exposure of the Maquis, but whom has been helping them from inside Starfleet.
#6) The Maquis would be hard pressed into being more daring & dangerous in undermining the Cardassians of their cruelty. The liberation of Bajorans & American Indians from concentration camps & random mass execution could not have been achieved by them without the assistance of someone operating outside of their group. The ability to thin out and divert security has led the Maquis to believe their help is coming from a Cardassian, but Starfleet knows better, because the transports for these escapes are from the Federation as commandeered by someone or a group of individuals operating inside Starfleet.
The next point is my speculation for a fanfic FYI.
#7)At the time of Voyager, the Val Jean was being pursued into the badlands by three Cardassian battlecruisers to capture Chakotay from among the Maquis crew to find the identity of the Cardassian traitor, which by misinformation, the Cardassians had believed goes by the name of Desarae. What they did not know that it was just a nickname Chakotay gave her, and she "looked" human to him. Tuvok is onboard, and although he has a general description of Desarae, he has never met her, and so he does not know if she is serving as a means in undermining the Cardassians by those that operate in Starfleet or is an actual Starfleet personnel working in unison with others in Starfleet.
Janeway had security scour the database for missing human personnel during the times that this Desarae was assisting the Maquis as well as endeavoring in other "offensive" exploits" as conveyed by their Cardassian allies. Janeway had no knowledge of the atrocities that the Cardassians were committing that Desarae & the Maquis has been thwarting.
What they did not know was that Desarae would be identified as a "Vulcan" Starfleet Counselor by Starfleet that goes by the name of Julianna Corsinca, and thus why she would not be showing up in their database in their search for a human Starfleet personnel.
Chakotay and the Maquis had not seen her Vulcan ears and her actions were those of a human being showing emotions during those times she was with them, and so they would never have known of her background of being the daughter of the older Spock whom was married to a Betazoid, because she did not go through Kolinahr, the Vulcan ritual for purging all emotions.
She "plays" Vulcan as a Starfleet Counselor, and is very good hiding her emotions to honour her Vulcan heritage, but she is very empathic which serves her well in counselling others, and avoiding men that are just interested in having sex with her too. She plays the cold fish quite well.
But whenever there is no need to hide her true self to Starfleet personnel, she will let herself out to love children and be loved by them. She is motivated to rescue children from oppression and poverty.
The series would develop with Cardassians being in the Delta Quadrant as well. Being battlecruisers, they would be heavily damaged, but eventually, they can salvage from among the three ships to get one working. Course, there would be internal strife in this process that they would pose little threat to Voyager during their time with the Caretaker, but eventually they will be a threat as they will be working in cohesion with Seska whom will be onboard Voyager.
Meanwhile, Chakotay and the Maquis cannot believe their eyes on how much this Vulcan ship's counselor looks like Desarae. (The kind of entertainment for women for revenge on making Lois so oblivious to Clark being Superman. )
Okay: I digress in my musing for this fanfic in point #7, so in setting point #7 aside for now, but essentially, as per point #1 through point #6, would these be the fallouts for Voyager due to JJ Abrams' movie?
What fallouts do you see as happening by the time Voyager's time comes around?
