If Janeway came out and admitted to being a Lesbian, I wouldn't have been the least bit surprised. Looking back, perhaps, VOYAGER's captain should've been the first homosexual character and I think it would've worked, probably ... it certainly would've elevated VOYAGER's status in the franchise legacy!

Jadzia and Mirror Mirror Kira don't count?

Plus IMO, making Janeway a Lesbian implies women can't be in a position of power unless she's butch like a man.
I think Janeway was fine as she was cause she was authoritative while holding onto her femininity.
I think its why the character was a great role model.
 
It wouldn't make a difference if she was a lesbian, since she (Kate) wouldn't have allowed any romantic relationships occur with the distaff side of the ship's crew.

(Loved Kate's comment when asked about a possible relationship with Seven. "Have you seen that outfit? How would I have gotten it off her?")

Jadzia had multiple personalities, for all intents and purposes ... including that of several men. Men who like(d) women ... alot! And Mirror Kira was just acting out lesbianism, mainly, out of narcisism. So, in my view, no ... neither of those ladies count. Janeway and 7, on the other hand ... now, that's something else:
