January’s Theme chosen by community vote here, is:

Tall Tales
Or, a funny thing happened on the way to Delta Vega. Dedicated to those adventures that are the most bizarre and unbelievable, the ones where if you described them to someone they'd reckon you'd done a little too much LDS - Abraham Lincoln floating in space, holograms taking over the Enterprise, being shrunk to the size of a toy, evolving into a lizard?! Or perhaps you can think of something even weirder than those we've seen on the show.

So, perhaps you'd like to depict or add a twist to a scene from your chosen Tall Tale or maybe imagine an unseen consequence or a potential sequel?


As well as the usual rules, in light of the TrekBBS's position on Imgur, I'm going to add a request to the challenge what entries NOT be hosted using Imgur (some alternatives are listed in the linked thread). As we like to be as inclusive as possible and as Imgur no longer serves the UK, images hosted there will not reach a sizeable proportion of the TrekBBS community and so potentially damage your chances in the challenge poll.


The Rules

• the artwork you submit should be created during the month of the challenge
• only one final image can be submitted (although it may contain multiple views)
• your final entry should be posted in this thread (although dedicated WIP threads are appreciated)

The winner gets to wear the golden “Fan Art Challenge Winner” badge on their profile for the following month. And , if you have an idea for a Challenge Theme you can post it in February's suggestion thread (here).

You have until Saturday 31 January to share your final entry with us here in this thread. As always, if you have any suggestions, questions or if you need more time, use this thread to let us know.
