You know . . . you haven't really convinced me to change my mind. I still think the STAR WARS fandom is basically sexist and hypocritical.
FTFY.

The time cops would presumably have always been from the future where Voyager got home early. They only show up in "Relativity," because someone from their time went back to Voyager's time "for revenge."Where were the time cops preserving the timeline (like Relativity)?
Bringing super tech from the future to blow up cube after cube was like cheating in a game.
Sorry, you misunderstand. I meant that I don't like animated series. I wasn't even referring to an existing series. I meant that if they had left VOY in the Delta Quadrant, then a sequel to VOY would only have appealed to me with flesh and blood actors and not in the form of animation. The 'animation nonsense' of which you speak was better than the show it was a sequel to. Certainly in the treatment of Chakotay, who was reduced to nothing more than a cardboard one-dimensional character in VOY's later seasons.

I don't like the idea that these shows are continued in animated form. But I can perfectly imagine that some are better than shows with flesh and blood characters. I just don't watch them because I don't like them. Under no circumstances was I referring to an existing show. All the more so because I've never seen an animated Star Trek show and I don't intend to (at least not for the foreseeable future).
I like the finale, it did what it needed to do: end the show. I don't agree with many fans who think we needed to see the crew reunited with their families. I'm like, we didn't really see their families before they left, so why do we need to end with that?what did u guys think of voyagers ending?
What were u expecting as the ending to voyager? Also if you could rewrite voyagers ending how would u have had it end?
May I ask what your aversion is to animated shows? Regarding Prodigy, I wouldn't call it a sequel to Voyager per say. It's more a spin-off with sequel vibes. If you're a fan of Voyager, I recommend making an exception for Prodigy, the animation is very well done, and I absolutely love all of the characters.Sorry, you misunderstand. I feel that they are a step back after live-action shows. This actually makes a lot of sense. I'm not suggesting you watch a lot of animation, just give Prodigy a go. It's on Netflix and opens with a 2-part premiere, give that a go, and if not sold, you can say you gave it a shot.I feel that they are a step back after live-action shows. I am so sorry.Btw, I do watch some animations since if one has nieces, it's inevitable. I must have seen FROZEN one million times ...![]()
As for PRODIGY, I might give it a chance one day. Not likely but let's not shut down on anything. Thing is the very fact that Voyager came home killed it for me so I don't know how much I would enjoy anything that does not take place with VOY's original premise. After all, the appeal of that show to me has always been that a ship was lost somewhere in deep space and that they would try to get home fighting hard for it. But ENDGAME killed that premise for me and the relaunch books spat on everything that was VOY ... so I sincerely doubt that any sequel or quasi-sequel or spinoff or whatever else would be interesting enough for me.
Right now, I'm watching the back-half of TNG for the first time since I was a kid. When I get to S6, diving into DS9, and when I get to DS9 S3, diving into Voyager. Seen all of DS9 and Voyager, but it'll be fun to watch these 3 as if it were the 90's.But thx for the recommendation. For the time being I'm happy with my 39th rewatch of Voyager. Actually, it's the 38th only since I think the first time is just called "watch" and "rewatch" commences with the second time. It's PERSISTENCE OF VISION today - a fascinating episode with cucumber sandwiches

If Netflix doesn't renew, the S2 finale works as a series finale. What I liked about Prodigy is that it has an actual 2 season arc and it does a really good job sticking to that arc across the seasons with a satisfying ending. That made the show (among other things like 2 Janeways ;.) very enjoyable for me.
Why do you think Netflix won't renew it? My theory: Netflix picked up what, from their POV, is essentially a finished series. I think they just wanted to stream it, not produce it.I doubt they will renew it. Unfortunately. I'm happy they gave PRO a home for the last season but Netflix has a bad track record of cancelling shows without giving them proper conclusions. At least PRO has a decent ending if it's not picked up.
More than that, it's one of best animated shows I've watched. In terms of quality, PRO is among Trek's strongest series. But not all strong series find their audience in time.
Indeed. They had no or very little production cost. P+ used the series as a tax write off is my understanding. The series production shop is closed and staff have moved on to other projects by now. Basically Netflix would have to start from scratch and it's unlikely PRO drove that much subscriber interest their way. At least not enough to justify further investment. Why do you think Netflix won't renew it? My theory: Netflix picked up what, from their POV, is essentially a finished series.
