"FOR SLUTBUNNY!!!!!"
And we haven't even gotten to the massive screw job in Wessex, yet. A whole bunch of betrayal there with Aella and Ecburt not to mention Kwentrith.
I was thinking of last season when the Viking settlement was wiped out. Ragnar's going to get wind of it sooner or later. Hence, Ecburt insisting on creating a standing army rather than the old call up the thegns since that was too slow to deal with raiders like the Vikings.I don't remember anything in Wessex in the premiere. Did I miss it somehow? I actually fast-forwarded through the entire premiere again last night just to see if I missed something the first time around, but . . ..
Me am confused.

That was a good scene, but I was wondering what became of the guys on the roof, there. I don't think the archers got them all, and I was expecting them to come down to make sure Kwentrith was dead. I've got to go back and look, but were those Mercians supposed to be Kwentrith's turning traitor on her or were they working for rivals holding her hostage?Ah, thanks. I was afraid that the maybe the premiere had run overtime and my DVR had chopped off a scene in a Wessex or something.
As for this week's ep, that whole assault on the tower sequence was great. I loved Aewulf fighting the guard at the door, while trying to dodge the heavy objects being thrown from above . . ...
Ragnar was told almost as soon as someone could get back from England. He immediately murdered the messenger, a loyal subject, so that he could keep everyone focused on the Paris raid. It's when I stopped watching because it had turned into Sons of Anarchy in boats, with the same amount of pointless butchery and making the principal characters twats to make it 'edgy'.I was thinking of last season when the Viking settlement was wiped out. At the time of Lindesfarne in 793, Ragnar and Lagertha were about 30. Bjorn was 12 at the time so 30 is a rough estimate. The Paris raid is 845 making pushing 80 or so when he killed the messenger. He's, probably, just a senile bastard lashing out by then.Ragnar was told almost as soon as someone could get back from England.
