Vance's Schematics

Re: Vance's other ships...

I dunno, I kinda like it for some reason.. NCC 1949 USS Leftoverparts... :D

IMO something like that would be a good science vessel of somesort, cheap, parts plenty and easily assembled.

Re: Vance's other ships...

^ Kind of reminds me of the early conjecture for the Challenger class, which was like this with two sideways nacelles on the saucer instead. Thankfully Mike Okuda clarified that the actual Challenger model doesn't look like that. :D

Did you ever think of doing a TOS version of this ship? Maybe it started out as a prototype in the 2250's or 2260's. Even if it had only two "circumferential" nacelles, it would look impressive. I see it as a precursor to the Excelsior class, maybe a test bed.

Wow...wow that's just...wow.

I think the Kitbashers really got out of control, had a wild party and the next day there was a new ship that no one would admit to designing. :D

*hic* yess it nnnneeds a longg neck.. *hic* wiff a tttorpedo launcher.. *hic* no.. make it TWO torrpedo launecheress... *hic*...

I dunno. I'm not one for creating something in a set time period, then retconning it backward. In my mind, the Lion was designed and built sometime after the Mirandas in the Motion Picture time frame, inspired by their hulls.

Not to say someone else isn't welcome to try. :)

I've just kitbashed a human. It has four legs (no odd numbers) but hte other set come out of its head, in case it falls over. Blood pressure, I haven't considered. But I'm sure the twelve arms (six out of the arse) will compensate.

I...actually... forgot the exact scale.. I had something when I did the saucer and nacelles originally - and promptly lost it and scaled everything 1 to 1 with them.

I have the pl/m scale written down, actually - I just can't find where I put it. I then take the given measurements (or use the components where applicable). Everything's based on the width of the Enterprise saucer being 127m

Pretty neat stuff Vance! Do you intend to compile the Enterprise A Era stuff into a Jaynz's Book?

Will you include some of the "Starfleet Prototype" designs? I like David Schmidt's "Ranger" class. There was a FASA Starship Combat site that renamed this class to "Renown" so that it wouldn't conflict with the LUG "Ranger" class.

I also like Anarion's "U.S.S. Churchill" NCC-2713 of the "Challenger" class.

I need to pick that up sometime... I'm working on a guide for Starfleet Net right now, actually... I have to decide on what to do for TMP - TUC stuff...
