I guess the bridge carpeting is installed sometime before 2265. Kirk could have requested it.

That does seem to be the case, which would place the conference room on one of the sides of the bridge module where there are pairs of round windows.

Exactly. One mustn't confuse something made for nostalgia purposes and something made for general consumption. You might think the Commodore 64 was a great computer, and a replica could be cool for a niche market, but it won't be a mass-market product sold as a modern machine.

Don't they seem like they're angled differently? Like they're on the bottom of the saucer, or something?

Possible. Maybe the inside and outside are angled differently? I realize that's less likely. I just don't know why they'd put a conference room that far away from the bridge.

The conference room is in the same location where the recreation deck will be come 2273 and TMP. There's also a TOS-style tricornered viewing monitor in the room though it's only briefly visible somewhere near where Pike is sitting.

I think this is the winner. Now we just need to figure out where Spock's quarters from the season premiere are, since all the big rectangular windows are on the neck and engineering hull.

Briefing lounge. It’s a place where people are briefed and there’s booze, too, so it’s a lounge.

Conference rooms are used by away teams.
