USS Enterprise (eventually) on Discovery?

Bridge!

is that nilsson over there standing at the station on the far right? looks like the only officer wearing a discovery-brand uniform.

not to resurrect this old talking point, but this bridge reminds me of this concept art from star trek 2009:

definitely borrowing a lot from the kelvin timeline bridge, right down to the navigation console.

i like it.

Do you have a source saying Paramount pays CBS? Because this isn't like Sony and Marvel at all.

And of course, it's more complicated than they let on.
All you have to do is go back and read about how pizzed-off JJ became in his dealings with CBS back when the Kelvin Movies first started.
Paramount was obviously licensing Trek to make those movies, since everything had to be approved by someone in Corp. CBS as far as advertising and merchandising was concerned.
JJ wanted CBS to stop licensing TOS Trek and CBS said no, Paramount had no say in the matter.
Also, Paramount ASKED CBS and got it in the license contract, to not create and broadcast any Televised Trek till after Star Trek: Beyond finished in the theaters.

And recently we learned that CBS only had to get the usual contractual permissions from actors and writers to use the images and video from "The Cage" in a DISCOVERY episode, nothing more.

CBS is fully in control of Star Trek with Paramount as an approved contractual partner.
Nothing out there suggests anything less than this.

For what it’s worth, the bit about Abrams being unhappy with CBS licensing of Star Trek only appeared in a single, random online article and was never confirmed, but broadly repeated by others. Abrams is a savy guy, there was no reason he or Bad Robot to get any money from outlicencing Kelvin Trek, so I doubt he cared about it - but it made good copy for the Doomcucks of the time.

Could be an illusion of angle/lens, but it looks like the helm stations are more forward than TOS/TMP, and more akin to the TNG era "up front" look, which the DSC ships seem to favor as well. Depending on the bridge, TOS/TMP era bridge center points were somewhere along the helm unit, with approximately the front half of the inner circle free space for walking dramatically toward the viewscreen (or placing the camera to look towards the captain's chair). If this is the case, I like it ergonomically, but I'm curious how it will look from other angles.

Or you can read the Axanar court filings and see the ownership of Trek rests with both CBS and Paramount.

Comments about the Enterprise bridge
All the red lighting makes it look like a Klingon ship. Maybe Kirk got rid of those red lights because of that?

Also, I would have preferred if the widescreen viewscreen had a rectangular shape and still had the blue lining, so it would just look like a widescreen version of the TOS viewscreen.

So... Pike's Enterprise crew is 200ish and Discovery's crew is 200ish and Kirk's Enterprise is 400ish. Discuss, lol.

If Starfleet ditches a lot of the automation, they are going to need more people to run the ship.

I'm hoping the red lining turns blue when they're not at red alert.

The set looks very touch-screeny rather than the hybrid design on Discovery that has more physical switches and dials mixed with screens. I guess even though this goes against the original design it looks more sleek and high tech which is what the Enterprise is supposed to be.
Looks like there might be some here
