Pike now knows he’s going back to the Enterprise in the future, and also that he won’t like the rest of his future.

Looks like a lot of design language has been carried over from the original. The stairs, the railing, elements of the color scheme, some of the geometry of the stations in the back. The chairs! Even the console between the helm stations maintains some similar forms, albeit loosely. I look forward to the analysis of people who know more about the original set than I do.

Am I seeing things or does the viewscreen have the running lights on the bottom there?
So far I like what I see, but I can't help think how ridiculous it seems that they updated EVERYTHING, but when it came to the chairs they were like, "Eh, fuck it".

The shape of the screen seems to match the Discovery's, so I wonder if it's a redress rather than a brand new set?
Someone who claimed to have insider information said it was a new build. Every thing else they claimed has come true so far
Her exterior doesn’t seem to be any different since we saw her in episode 1
It's also refreshing just how much better the exterior ship CGI is this season. More photoreal and model-like instead of weird blue filters and ultra shiny hulls with bloom set to 11.
The chairs make me smile.
