How do you say "stupid as fuck" in Russian?

How do you say "stupid as fuck" in Russian?
Because it can communicate extra-terrestrially almost instantaneously using non-EM radiation and no booster tower, as mentioned.
Why do I have to spell out everything? Why didn't you read and quote the rest of the post which addresses this? It's more advanced in a single way, and more primitive in every other way.
You make a one-dimensional comparison that is essentially meaningless. Sure, Trek communicators and phones are used to communicate at a distance. But the Trek communicator is radically more advanced in a way a phone can't even possibly match. And there's no need for it to run apps, since an accompanying tricorder can interface with the massive ship's database (and by proxy, the entire Federation database).
If Star Trek people came across an iphone, they'd think it was a cute toy, and mind find the craftsmanship and capabilities quaint.
The Communicator is a military device, not a public phone, it has one job, to communicate.One-dimensional? Did you AGAIN miss the content of the post you replied to? Do you have any idea what smartphone can do? The ONLY thing the communicator is better at is range.
And now you've just argued that communicators are superior to smartphone in every way because... starfleet officers can use _another_ device to do most of the same things, even though clearly a TOS tricorder can't do half of was a smartphone can do. That's stupid. If they need to use another device, then the communicator doesn't do these things, which was my point from the start.
Yes, I'm sure they'd find it quaint that in one case they're holding the entire set of the ship's capabilities in the palm of one hand, and in the other they hold... a communicator.
the communicator is also a tracking device and a universal translator.
Just read as a bite towards Russians. Could just be a simple miscommunication with how you were posing the image towards the statement beneath it.Which is where the reboot/restart argument comes in to play. Honestly, a good compromise on the two items may be unsatisfactory. I personally would like to see more future forward looking on tech as well as characters.
How was that rude towards Russians?![]()
Wasn't me posting the image. I just couldn't find a slight towards Russians in that post.Just read as a bite towards Russians. Could just be a simple miscommunication with how you were posing the image towards the statement beneath it.
A window on a starship wouldn't work. For proof, turn on the lights in your house and look out the window at night. All you'd see in the window is the bridge crew's reflection. It's why IRL, astronauts don't have lights inside their helmets. You wouldn't be able to see anything outside the window. You can do a HUD on a window as well as armor it. If I'm going to be told that a communicator, which appears to be less functional than a contemporary smart phone, is more advanced than my (outdated) phone, then I can reasonably believe that a "window" can be enhanced to protect crew members delicate eyeballs, and enhance targets, while (at the same time) allow for navigation when the power goes out. Because, that is going to happen.
I'll keep the window.
