Ah you might be right - I'm not really sure why they made the changes, possibly to do with the redress as the Excelsior. It's never bothered me because it's obviously supposed to be the same bridge.You are right. Though I think Spock's actual station is still in the same spot (just past the turbolift to the right of the command chair) as TFF.
But yeah, they're essentially the exact same bridge with a few small aesthetic differences like the decals on the turbolift doors, the location of Spock's science station and the colors of the chairs. Oh, and the headrests on the chairs no longer raised and lowered after TMP. That little feature was excised, possibly to save money on running the motors in the TMP chair props that operated the headrests.

That's the size of a supercarrier or just a tiny bit smaller. Plenty of room to run around and work in. And hey, she can fit anywhere from 203-430 officers and crew depending on the decade. That's already more living space than Discovery or even Voyager more than a century later!
