USS Enterprise (eventually) on Discovery?

The saucer looks nothing like the Sovereign's.

The Vulcan Cruiser is 142 meters according to Eagle-moss. Is that perhaps supposed to be a Vulcan Shuttle instead, at 43 meters?
:wtf:

Either of those figures is suspect, because we see exactly how big the ship is in the two-dimensional "Lethe" shot where Sarek stands right next to it. Fifty meters plus is a more probable size for this "cruiser" (supposedly in the same sense that the pleasure yacht Aurora was a "space cruiser" in TOS).

The design certainly is unique. But how over-the-top can one go and still get screen time? I mean, a flying face of Spock?

OK, then somebody really screwed-the-pooch, because I got the charts with Issue #4 (The Bird of Prey) back in July and the Vulcan Cruiser (#6) came at the end of September with the booklet listing the 142 meter length.

The charts were made way before the book was.
The book cover was revealed before the chart was released. I don't know exactly when, but an image of the cover with the length was uploaded to Memory-Alpha on June 7th.

He does have the so called "official" size of it on the chart.

Look at the Vengeance! One of it's warp nacelles is bigger than the Enterprise D! Ridiculous upscaling typical of the Kelvin Universe.
I think it's great myself, now that's the kind of ship to go exploring in, it has room for all my stuff.

The original 1701 was always too poky and designed for smurfs.

The Kelvin Enterprise got the size just right.

I still don't get why it matters or triggers such an insecure-seeming reaction.

Besides, they must be doing something right, the Vengeance crashed and levelled much of San Francisco without an antimatter breach. A gentle breeze would trigger a catastrophe on the Enterprise-D.

Starfleet really needs to fix their warp core emergency ejectors. Somehow the primary most important piece of emergency equipment on a starfleet vessle almost never actually works.
