United Earth Space Probe Agency?

Starfleet is fine. Any one bitching about UESPA not being there, is simply looking for something to complain about.

But it is there. Look.

And it's always something going on in parallel with Starfleet, so no reason it couldn't go on being parallel to Starfleet in DIS. And for sheer consistency, it could also go on appearing about halfce in a blue moon.

In TOS the UESPA was the primary operating authority of the five year mission which the Enterprise undertook, as Kirk explained to John Christopher in the episode "Tomorrow is Yesterday". This may explain why the Enterprise uses the UESPA delta, whereas we see other ships of that era do not. Perhaps it is also a why the Discovery uses the delta. It's a Starfleet ship but under the authority of UESPA.
This makes too much sense NOT to become part of my headcanon, thank you! :techman:

Does that mean that there was an amalgamation of the services some time prior to TMP, when every ship started using the delta symbol? I am thinking of something like Starfleet gets to keep the title of the organisation but UESPA becomes a management division of the ships themselves
