Uniforms in the new series

The belt buckle is just there because I copied the belt from the TWOK uniform. I was too lazy to change it.

How I see the uniforms, based on the ship we've seen:

Tops in shades that relate to the colour of the ship we've seen, i.e. new materials but colours suggestive of age and wear:

Security/engineering: Muted rust
Command/flight : Tan-olive similar to Kirk's top in old prints of TOS
Science/medicine: Grey-blue

Fairly stiff material, not close-fitting. And for some reason I'm seeing a strap-like element, same colour as the top (or subtly darker), around the shoulder join and across the chest. Round neck with short military collar, maybe a V element at the front.

The pants (ankle-length) and boots would be dark charcoal, with dark cloth or vinyl strap elements echoing the top and giving a subtle utilitarian feel.

I'd actually like to see five colours for the departments, although I agree with eyeresist that a more subdued color would preferable:

Engineering: Rust (or similar "pastel red")
Logistics/Ops[1]: Khaki
Flight/Tactical[2]: Olive
Admin/Services/Medics[3]: Cyan
Science/Research: Lilac

Base color would be slate-grey (slightly bluer than the Abramverse dress unis) for enlisted workwear and field uniforms, navy/midnight blue for service and dress uniforms. As with the "Monster Maroons", Admirals, and COs/officers of the same rank may opt to wear a white shirt with the service & dress uniforms.

[1] = Includes Transporter/Holodeck & Armory Techs
[2] = Default for Bridge Crew, Special Operations and most Officers.
[3] = Includes Security Guards/Medics, Intel and CSIs, but not Medical Officers who group Science/Research.

I would like to see a modern version of the Pike-era uniforms. The same general uniform, but made in the way the original costume designers would have if given the same budget as DIS.

I made a few changes to the colors. Didn't really change the designs though. I have a feeling the actual uniforms will be more modern than this.

As long as they keep the Gold Command uniform I'll be happy - although it would be nice if they would have phaser/laser pistols that looked similar to the old Pike era ones too.

Robau's captain's uniform was blue. Since he was captain of the Kelvin 20 years before Star Trek: Discovery, perhaps they'll take uniform cues from him.

Since after the premier, it'll be streaming only, do we actually need the actresses clothed at that point?

Er, hmm. Although I'm almost positive this will be the first Star Trek series with nudity. I mean you gotta get something for that six bucks a month, right?

If it's hot, the electrons will spin in geekdom that night.

Or they may just go with totally different uniforms and ignore "The Cage"/"Where No Man Has Gone Before" uniforms entirely.
