Uhura in Mirror, Mirror

I just had a quick look and Kirk's woman in the episode also bares her navel. She doesn't look "whitey-white" but she's not black either.

According to IMDB.com, Barabara Luna is "of Italian, Hungarian-Jewish, Spanish, Portuguese, and Filipino heritage."

I've seen her play everything from Mexican to Asian.

EDIT to ask: Say, is Star Trek dubbed in Sweden?
AxelFoley, since you haven't answered I take it you overlooked my question. It's completely off-topic of course, but I would really like to know.

Hello, I missed your edit there. No, we do NOT dub anything except for child cartoons, and for that I thank ShaKaRe.

Please tell me you've seen Star Trek without the dubbing? :( I know so many Germans that insists on saying that their dubbing is better than the original voices...

Really? I think it is generally accepted in German fandom that the original English version is the only one you can take seriously. At least that's the case with TOS (and some of TNG). The dubbing of the later series (DS9, VOY, ENT) is indeed comparatively good. But I stopped watching the German versions. Whenever I watch an episode (have them all on DVD) I opt for the original version.

But there are subtitles in Sweden, are there?

Of course there are subtitles, we're not born speaking english  But we are good learners :)

Oh my god.........it just occured to me right now that Nichelle Nichols probably wasn't wearing any underwear in that photo. No panties or even the string of a thong is visible and that red skirt is awfully very low!

What is the red shirt on the right doing with his hand? :wtf:

He's doing a wonderful lazy cowboy pose. One thing I loved about that scene on the bridge with Uhura and Sulu was how the security guards not only didn't care about what was going on, but were clearly amused by the situation. I think one of them was even smiling. The other thing I liked about that scene was Sulu's insane reaction after being slapped. He obviously had never been treated that way before. That look of intimidating anger was utterly priceless. Fucking awesome!

:vulcan: Well, I didn't assume that. But it could have been entirely possible that Star Trek just never made it's way into Swedish television, couldn't it?

Thongs didn't exist in the 60's. And how would we be able to see the panties on that photo?

Oh well, wishful thinking I guess. I think you just cost me my good nights sleep just now :(

Of course that's a possibility, but what does that have to do with there being subtitles or not?

Anyway, it's been many mannnnnnnnnny years since we aired TOS in Sweden, probably over 10 years. Such a shame.

That skirt looks like it is just barely above her goodies.

Nah, I think a pair of panties could be right below that place, especially designed for revealing dresses ;)

Probably. And what goodies they are, esp. those thighs and that delectable derriere! -- RR
