So everything that’s flat gray is still untextured? She looks marvelous so far! The pearlescent finish is so pretty… it’s almost silky as the Salcombe glides by in that video.
Those nacelles are great.I had to backtrack a bit to fix some details of the ship I had gotten incorrect the first time. But now I've got the model to about 60% textured.

I think it's the black caps that make them really stand out. They are literally the same ones from the 1701-A. In the actual studio model, they didn't have time to make custom nacelles, so they just grabbed them off the 1701-A as a kitbash.
It might be fun to modify the design to fit the smaller size properly. In Beyond it's clear they just downsized the model, warts and all (you can see bridge windows), but I'm curious what a shuttle-sized version could look like.
Yeah, before it was pointed out with screencaps, I thought the nacelles were actually coming out the front, and were some kind of large tractor-beam clamp for grabbing and towing ships. It might be fun to modify the design to fit the smaller size properly. That would make more sense for station police shuttles than warp nacelles do.Yeah, before it was pointed out with screencaps, I thought the nacelles were actually coming out the front, and were some kind of large tractor-beam clamp for grabbing and towing ships.
At first I thought, what are you talking about.....
I concur!Beautiful work!
Any chance for orthos? I'd love to see how all the shapes go together.
