Now I REALLY want Eaglemoss to do a treatment of this one. Sadly, it’s probably not likely to ever happen at this point. They seem to have put the brakes on all NuTrek ships. And it probably wouldn’t be as good looking as this one, either.

    This is looking fantastic.

How big is the Salcombe in comparison to the Enterprise?

They are roughly the same size.

What font was used for the registry number?

I used "Airborne Pilot" but had to slightly modify the 7 and the 1 to look like what's seen on the Enterprise.

I really almost bit off more than I could chew with this this Salcombe, but I'm making it work. The Enterprise-A has a very sculptural form, where the secondary hull, pylons, and nacelles all blend as one piece. I am carrying that same aesthetic over to the Salcombe. This took me four attempts, but I think I have it.

Well, as I draw to a stopping point for the weekend, I have completed modeling the entire upper side of the Salcombe except for the nacelles.

I really love how the bridge is not centered on the saucer.

Long time no progress. However, a milestone. The topside modeling is now completely finished. I just gotta detail the bottom of the saucer and the secondary hull, and then modeling is finished.
