U.S.S. Kelvin pic! (and more -- large images)

Re: U.S.S. Kelvin pic.... AND MORE!

Is that wood flooring??

Perhaps I'll "get it" once I see it on the big screen next May, but this pic is simply unflattering. Just looks way too busy.

Well I see where all the fanboys are. They're here, making snide comments whenever someone expresses an opinion that isn't completely positive. I understand now.

Shame on any one of you who does this.
Get over yourself.

If this has already been brought up, I apologize. Although it is clear stated that this is THE Enterprise bridge, how do we know that it is the ONLY Enterprise bridge we will see in the movie? We know the plot involves time travel. I assume Spock is not coming back in time just to use up his accumulated Vulcan Ambassador vacation days. He is probably coming back in time because something has been altered and he needs to put it right. This could lead to one or more alternate realities in the movie. There may be 47 different Enterprises in the movie, all of them THE Enterprise, and all of them completely different from one another.

Or this may be the only one, and it's the bridge we will see in every Star Trek movie from now on. We just don't know for sure yet.

Take out the host station, and I'm 100 percent onboard. Wouldn't look half as busy.
Its actually a very clever addition, if indeed it is a Yeoman's desk.

I'm less enthused about the plexiglass partitions/huds/circuit panels.

someone shoulda sat JJ down with a DVD of In a Mirror, Darkly and told him: LOOK! the old bridge still looks good. don't fuck with it!

all it needed was moving screens above the stations...

The Defiant bridge looked good ON TELEVISION. Big difference there.

It's the same reason the original Enterprise was heavily refitted for TMP, and the Ent-D was quickly destroyed when the first TNG movie came out. Those ships were made for TV, not films.

yeah I bet if you remove spock from the pictures theres another transparent glass. So when you see both it will look like they're passing through a metal detector everytime they go to the lift

Its THE bridge guys. Looks just like the snippit we saw in the J.J. Abrams laptop photo earlier this year. Learn to love it - its what we got. Could be worse - could be a re-build of the original, with jelly bean buttons and slide-show monitors.

Frak off, Juan! I'd've rather had a (slightly 'modernized') version of the TOS bridge to go with those uniforms! "In A Mirror Darkly" showed us just how well the classic bridge and uniforms have stood the test of time. They looked GREAT.

This bridge looks like something out of seaQuest.

Mind you, I LIKE seaQuest, but it's not a good aesthetic match with those uniforms.
