Clint Morris posted about this story again. He ruled out two names: Tom Welling and Ian Somerhalder.
"Brainiac" is, imo, a stupid name
Then it is probably Brandon Routh again, which is fine by me. I mean that he is the only man alive that has any feature film Superman experience, and that is what should ultimately get him the role. Of course, that is also a double edged sword in the fact that said experience was Singer's "Love letter to Richard Donner."Clint Morris posted about this story again. Morris's initial story said that it's not Routh and that they're looking at a "popular TV star".Then it is probably Brandon Routh again, which is fine by me.
BRAIN InterActive Construct.^that would be B.I.C.
What he said, sorry for the double post.BRAIN InterActive Construct.^that would be B.I.C.
Gah. Now I feel dirty for semi-defending Smallville.![]()
Dark Horizons is reporting both Routh and Welling have stated they are open to taking the role. They linked to an interview with Roth, but nothing to where Welling said such, which is odd.
They used Brain.Inter.Active.Construct. like that.

There was a rumor about that guy from "Chuck" but apparently that's not whose being considered. That said, it is a "TV star" and... I dunno, the way this bit is phrased, it makes me think maybe Welling might actually be in consideration from the line "Your first guess is likely the right one."Sorry? What? Oh, you want to know which "TV star" is currently atop of the WB wishlist?
Says our insider, "[He's a] popular TV actor that no one is thinking of, but everyone will be thrilled with if he pulls on the blue tights"
Your first guess is likely the right one.
Anyway, Welling aside -- what other TV stars could done the blue tights and red cape and become the Man of Steel?
