Sorry about the delay in producing this.
I'm learning Blender now, having given up on Hexagon for Daz's apparent unconcern for it's issues or advancement.
It's a shame too. I liked that program but in truth, it was the first one I learned on and Blender so far has not disappointed me.
I posted this on DA with and without the DUD's.
I think the DUD's add character and believability and besides, eventually they will populate the novel anyway.
I'm still pondering the interior textures.
For the decking I'm vacillating over textured metal, textured rubber or tight carpet.
The carpet option might not fit in well with the ground level combat applications although the crew typically never leaves the cockpit.
The metal may be too harsh for the the environment though and the rubber a bit too cold.
I'm also re-considering the flight suits and helmets as depicted above.
Those outfits may be better suited to open air, turbulent and ultra high speed combat and I picture the ballistic operations of these vessels as primarily defense and low level offense.
Clear the landing zone, deliver or extract and bug out quickly.
I'm considering developing some single and double pilot, tactical fighters now.
PA, Star ships aren't always available.
