Troop & Cargo Carriers

My first Klingon Rendering.

I still need to firm up this image rendering but the newly developed trick of HUD's is coming along pretty good so far.

Sorry about the delay in producing this.
I'm learning Blender now, having given up on Hexagon for Daz's apparent unconcern for it's issues or advancement.
It's a shame too. I liked that program but in truth, it was the first one I learned on and Blender so far has not disappointed me.

I posted this on DA with and without the DUD's.
I think the DUD's add character and believability and besides, eventually they will populate the novel anyway.

I'm still pondering the interior textures.
For the decking I'm vacillating over textured metal, textured rubber or tight carpet.
The carpet option might not fit in well with the ground level combat applications although the crew typically never leaves the cockpit.
The metal may be too harsh for the the environment though and the rubber a bit too cold.
I'm also re-considering the flight suits and helmets as depicted above.
Those outfits may be better suited to open air, turbulent and ultra high speed combat and I picture the ballistic operations of these vessels as primarily defense and low level offense.
Clear the landing zone, deliver or extract and bug out quickly.
I'm considering developing some single and double pilot, tactical fighters now.
PA, Star ships aren't always available.

Then you make it glorious!"

(The D5 is a Klingon ship type that was easily superior to Enterprise around 2150 and became outdated prior to 2270.)

Thank you so much for noticing. I honestly didn't think anyone would would pick up on the sneer.
Matching the lighting in the backdrop was a bit of a challenge too but I think it worked out pretty well.
Vorg is like me. Confident beyond belief. No one needs to tell him anything, he already knows it or he'll figure it out in the process.
I'm currently working on the rest of his crew and a D5 cruiser for him because apparently the only one available online is a 3D model in an extension I've never seen before.
You can see the WIP stuff in my deviantART page.
I'm also really excited about the concept of building the bridge for the Klingon vessel as well.
I'm thinking about modeling it around a submarine control room.
I love the lighting in the Klingon vessels.

I'm going to put this into its own thread but to get things started, here's the first post:

I've been revamping my PA ships lately and on a lark, decided to look at the older Klingon ships.
After a brief Google I came up with the same ol stuff, boring BOP's and D7's. Where's the talent, much less the creativity in redrawing the same Enterprise for the 5,000,000th time?
But then I came across an Axanar D6 and some variations on the D5 and I was suddenly motivated to put a D5 together that would fit into the current Axanar realm.
So here's the 1st, WIP image of the bridge.

I'm starting to get excited about this so I'm planning a D5 bridge set as well.
