Trek characters who could have carried a series?

Guinan might be able to carry a show if in a different venue. Maybe on a space station or a commerce planet (I know that's Farscape) or someplace where a lot of people come and go.

Captain Sulu aboard the Excelsior and his many battles with the Romulans and then the Klingons like Kor and Kang! In fact any update on TOS baddies could have been done on this show! But they decided to go with Enterpwyse and Henry Winkler as a Captain who didn't exist before and a ship unseen on the TMP history of the Starship!

The first thought that occurs to me is that it would be really interesting to see a series about Captain Morgan Bateson and the crew of the Bozeman adjusting to life in the 24th century. The movie era and the TNG era had very different feels to them, and a Bozeman series would be the perfect vehicle to comment on that.

It'd also be interesting to see a series or a miniseries about Luther Sloan and Section 31. What sort of dirty tricks did he have to pull behind the scenes to preserve the paradise of the Federation?

EEH

Emergency engineer hologram. He materializes, fixes what's wrong ...

...then something bad happens to him.

It makes me wonder if the Starship Galen is equipped with an EEH. This ship includes Holograms in essential function, mainly Security.
EEH O'Brien would have to deal with B'Elanna and would be in constant danger of being switched off or reprogrammed.

Kind of like the old Mission Impossible TV series.

TNG: Troi, a psychologist with mommy issues who wants more out of life and becomes a bridge officer and after being left by her imzadi because of his career ambitions years ago now she's the one moving on working for starfleet intelligence becoming part of a team of specialists traveling the quadrant in a specially equipped runabout on secret missions (think face of the enemy the series or section 31 but a bit nicer).

I didn't particularly care for Worf. However, I thought the combo with K'Ehleyr was brilliant, probably not enough to carry an entire series but perhaps a mini-series about a couple , both individually torn between the same two cultures, while serving on opposite sides, with one seeming to have achieved integration and acceptance of both sides much better than the other…. at least, on the surface.

TOS: Mudd. That could have happened. I still think it could happen. See DSC
TNG: Morgan Bateson. I believe there is one more spinoff left in Grammar
DS9: Odo. He leaves the communal puddle and gets back to fighting crime ODO: LIQUID JUSTICE
VOY: 7. She already WAS carrying a series. That catsuit could have won its own contract
ENT: Mayweather. ECS stuff.
DSC: Mudd. (see TOS)

All for the good of the pure and clean Federation.

Section 31 gets it's hand dirty, so the Federation doesn't have to.

Section 31 and the IMF are pretty much the same thing, down to the convoluted and improbable M:I-style trap they pulled in Inquisition (we just saw it from the mark's POV). Neither are acknowledged by their government, both claim to be fighting criminals using clearly illegal means, both obviously disavow their agents when they are caught.

It's just that we see the IMF in action in over 100 episodes (and a few movies, I guess), and are made to understand their side of things. Section 31 has only been shown a few times (with more to come, I'm sure), and generally painted in a very negative light.

Just to make it clear, I'm not a Section 31 apologist. They are fun, but not really conducive to Star Trek's optimistic future. I am mostly an IMF realist. That agency is a scary, Orwellian nightmare.

TOS : Captain Sulu would've been a great show
TNG : I like the up thread suggestion of Riker and Troi on the Titan
DS9 : a Ferengi show that covered Nog @ the academy and Rom as Nagus and Quark just Quarking it up would amuse me. Alternately a Spy( Garak ) VS Spy ( Sec 31 ) they dont even have to be enemies always , just show us stories from both points of view.
VOY : The doctor was a favorite , not sure what kind of show though
ENT : T'Pols time as a secret agent !
DSC: More Mudd, or something that shows us more depth to the Klingon culture, I'd like to know more about the houses and history.

TOS: Captain Pike, A Hero's Journey. How to successfully wrestle with the demands of command,
TNG: Whatever Happened to Nick Locarno? A documentary mini-series.
DS9: The Odo Files. Noir mysteries set to a Bajoran jazz soundtrack.
VOY: Janeway, Java Junkie. A harrowing tale of addiction.
ENT: Andorian Blues. Shran poetry jam
DSC: The Apprentiice with Harry Mudd. Multiple firings.

I would like to see a science ship do an extended exploration of the Gamma Quadrant. We saw only a handful of races from that side, but almost all of them had VERY advanced technology. I think we could get a lot of great concept stories on this. At the very least a season.

A half-hour “dramedy” about everyone’s favorite transporter chief.. coming soon to CBS All Access , the wacky yet poignant misadventures of:

Kyle!
