The timeline. The timeline or the exploding head? The latter has precedence on TNG.
But also the head...

In the STO novelization, learning of it does cause one of them to have a meltdown and end up in mental care.I'd love to see Lucsly and Dulmur get to grips with the Kelvin timeline...
Why does that not surprise me at all?In the STO novelization, learning of it does cause one of them to have a meltdown and end up in mental care.
Tom Hiddleston would be all kinds of awesome.
.. maybe he'll direct it? Having TFA director come back to Trek got to be worth an extra 100m in box officeAfter Monday's Box Office, Beyond sits at a shade under $290 million ($4 million China, $750,000 USA) So it seems a good time to think forward to JJ Abram's favorite script, and why he locked up Hemsworth's contract tight.

People don't flock to see movies because of who the director is. If that were the case, than Beyond should have done much better than it did since the Fast and the Furious movie that was released around the same time as STID and trampled it at the box office was directed by Justin Lin. Having Abrams direct the next movie won't guarantee a large audience, the only thing guaranteed is the presence of lens flares.Having TFA director come back to Trek got to be worth an extra 100m in box office
I don't think he's made a great movie since the 80s.

Given how much Nolan likes working with the same actors over and over again, I wonder if he'd bring Tom Hardy in on a Star Trek movie?Christopher Nolan's Star Trek
Nolan probably would've done it back then had they asked himChristopher Nolan's Star Trek:Nemesis would surely have been preferable to what we got.
They wrote the rejected Trek XIII script that Orci was supposed to direct. You know, the one with Shatner trying to restore the Prime Universe or something stupid like that. What I'm worried about is these writers. I have no clue who they are and why they got hired of all people.
