Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen Super Bowl spot

Nice spot. There will be bigger action this time, it seems. Hopefully the film will be bit darker than the first one, that IMHO suffered from too many comedic characters. Looking forward of watching this however.

I liked the spot. Not sure who the big one wheeled 'con is but if its Devastator as some have guessed I'll be dissapointed. Its one thing to do some reimagining, its another to just slap the name on something that doesn't even remotely resemble the character.

If you actually care whether or not a robot in a movie, based on an extended toy commercial, resembles the latter's representation ... well, this movie isn't for you, I guess. Jesus, at this point I'm ready for people to say that Hugh Jackman is far older than he should have been at the time of the Weapon X shit in Wolverine.

:wtf::wtf::wtf::wtf:
So tell me oh Lord Tim what properties are worth being concerened about being interrpreted with a modicum of accuracy?:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Your opinion is that because of the properties roots its what, less important to stay as true as possible? Please.

I pray this Pretender stuff is all rumor. Not that I have an issue with the Pretender concept but that robots covered with skin on screen in the cinema is kind of Terminator territory. Maybe its payback for the big Skynet killer bots encroaching on TF territory. ;)

I can see the love triangle element being true just not the Pretender aspect of it.

hate to break it to you, bub, but a Pretender is definitely in the movie, Orci confirmed it. he didn't confirm any of the above speculation, but he did state that a Pretender definitely appears.
Well I said I didn't have a problem with it. I also recall Bay saying false rumors would be coming from time to time to intentionally mislead us.

Very exciting and lets everyone know a sequel is on its way with a bang. The Constructicon was super cool and unusual (shades of Beast Machines in that design) and the scale was amazing. I can't wait!
So which was a constructicon the one wheeled bot? Cause if its "one" Constructicon thats different than being Devastator.

There's no way the one-wheeled beast is a Constructicon. It dwarfs Prime, and I can't think of too many construction vehicles that are larger than a Peterbuilt.

I fixed your spelling errors. It's such a shame mom and dad didn't pay you enough attention as a child.

Either way, I don't know why everyone thinks Megan Fox is so hot. She's skinny and covered in tats that have to be digitally removed.

Yeah, I made a simple and easy typo on the word "characters" (just one spelling error, btw.) Thanks for having my back.

Edit-

Ohh, check that, I made another "spelling error" (re: Typo involving the common missing of letters) in the word "insipid." Man, common errors like the missing of letters in words. God, I am such an IDIOT! Thank GOD I've such a generous and giving human being like John Picard watching my back!

Dont worry...When they come up with the old, "Yeah! and you cant evin spel." line you know they cant think of anything else to bitch about. Its a forum people. Who cares wheather or not every werd I type is spelld correcktly. And by the way I agree with you on just about every point you made. Shia has that spew-cial brand of "acting" where he just rambles on and acts stupid for the camera. Its Annoying. And there are plenty of other hot women out there who dont require as much fx work as the transformers in the movie to make her not look like road skank...

The big Constructicon guy is one of these:

The treads come together and get shaped into a circle to become the single center wheel.

Someone already posted his robot form earlier, but here it is again.

Devastator is going to be massive if that's just one of its many parts. Unless they're just leaving it with him being a single unit and that's it.

I don't think he's going to be a single unit. Empire had an interview with Bay that suggested he was made of construction machines

Of course Devastator has to be a Gestalt; however, if this "creation" is a culmination of the Constructions, what's the name? Devastator was used in the first movie much to the chagrin of the fans.

Reading this thread, what I don't get is that so many of you had to wait until you saw the trailer before you got psyched for this movie. I've been psyched since the first official announcement "Hey, we're making a sequel" to my favorite genre movie of all time!!!!

But, the trailer is awesome anyway.

And Trekker, if Megan's lips bother you that much, close your eyes when she's on the screen and imagine she's Lori Petty.

Hell, I was psyched when it was announced there will be three movies. I'll pass out if it goes to four or more. :techman:

me too.

Bay said in Empire that Devastator is "six or seven or eight construction vehicles".

that's probably just Scavenger.

Sweet, I can't wait. Although, it's not like I wasn't going to be there on opening day anyway.

I've not waded through the whole thread, but in case it's not been posted, the Superbowl spot trailer is available in HD from the www.apple.com/trailers/paramount/ site.

It shows an awful lot more detail than the poor copies on youtube.

Looks awesome.

Mmmm, not the *whole* thread. ;)

It's up at the official site, http://www.transformersmovie.com

I think it looks amazing !!

I'm not a Transformers fanboy but I enjoyed the movie a lot. It was a great mix of humor and action.

RAMA

Have just watched the HD version in frame by frame slow motion. Brilliant visuals, but on a slight nitpick, it's doubtful that whatever and whoever that one wheeled bad ass is at the end, it would never be able to maintain constant balance on what is no more than a Unicycle.

Having said that, bring on the full trailer! I can't wait.
