I read that line in the voice of Zapp Brannigan. The Jason Isaacs quote happened and it makes a lot of sense in the same voice.
She just noticed those crooked wall panels.Ooh, new scenes to analyze! Why is Michael so upset in the Shenzhou transporter room? Transporter malfunction? Beaming back from the Klingons with a terminally wounded Captain perhaps?

"VIOLENCE ON MANY SIDES???!"
On the other hand, there have been TV-14 shows with a lot more blood and gore than PG-13 movies.

I didn't say ENGAGE...I said ENERGIZE, dammit!
Do we already have an official confirmation on WHY this series is rated "mature"? Is it specifically for "violence", or don't we know yet and only speculate?
No. Speculation only. I imagine the first episode will cover the whole gamut of R-rated stuff as a way to show "edginess" before dialing it back to make it more consistently palatable to a wider audience.Do we already have an official confirmation on WHY this series is rated "mature"? Could definitely be language as well.We don't know. But it must be for violence and/or sex. Series don't get such high ratings otherwise. Personally I rather have explicit sex scenes than an abundance of gore.
That's what AMC did with Hell on Wheels. It kept the grittiness and violence, but the first couple episodes were incredibly violent and graphic with sex scenes, lots of blood and violence.No. Speculation only. There's just a penis in the corner of every shot. Because reasons.
There are different kinds of R-rated content. There couldn't be graphic language and sexual content due to FCC restrictions, but technically the FCC does not regulate violence. So maybe it could be gory and bloody like some axe murderer horror flick and get away with it.You won't see R rated content in the premiere unless somehow CBS got the FCC to allow R content on the broadcast network...
