Tos crossover

If Star Trek had gone more seasons do you think there was a chance it could have had a crossover episode with another series?

Do you think they would have crossed over with another Desilu series (mission impossible for instance) or an NBC show?

What crossover would have made the most sense? Ironically it seems lik CBS would have had the best shows for crossovers. Such as the time tunnel, Wild Wild West and of course lost in space.

I would like hearing everyone's opinions.

They may have had a crossover with Assignment: Earth, but that's about it.

That was originally intended as a potential spinoff if I recall.

I was curious of something similar to the modern genre, where the Family Guy visits the Simpsons or something similar.

For instance if you had a cross-over Episode with The Wild Wild West it could show the enterprise following up to prevent an incursion in the old west on earth. James Kirk needs and meets with James West to stop something from the future. At the end of the episode Kirk could mention that he left some "things" in his stagecoach, should he need them. This gives the Wild West show some advanced tech and helps Star Trek get some western viewers. Just one example I could think of.

I was just trying to think of the synergies that could have worked out with the shows sharing resources back then.

I would be curious of any other ideas.

For TOS to have a cross-over another Desilu or NBC production it would have to be (yet another) time travel show.

Maybe Jeannie (I Dream of Jeannie) could "blink in" Captain Kirk for a scene with Major Nelson.

I love that idea. Major Nelson would be "what was that "? Jeannie replies "too soon Major". Lol

I was trying to think this two ways. Obviously the way it probably would have happened. An NBC show or Desilu production.

Then the other part of me wonders if the could have done something like with Marvel and Sony with Spider-Man. The both decide its in their best interests and they do something. Which is why I mentioned a CBS show crossing over with a NBC show purely on synergy.

It would probably happen today because they are a little more open to it.

Or Kirk assists David Vincent with his crusade against The Invaders?

Good choice. Aside of the actual backdoor pilot--"Assignment: Earth," the only outside series with the tone and level of maturity worthy of a crossover would be Quinn Martin's The Invaders. I've watched the series, and a clever writer could make that work in some way. No other 1960s sci-fi TV series was on that level...certainly not most of Irwin Allen's series.

Other, non-sci-fi series are just not a good fit for too many reasons, and that includes The Avengers, Danger Man/The Prisoner, Mission: Impossible, and certainly not the Wild Wild West.

Back in time for some morality plays in Ponderosa country, on NBC's Bonanza.

Dum duh duh dum duh duh dum duh duh dum duuuuummmm.

Not sure NBC would be keen on a crossover with a show on other networks. I-Spy is the only other show I can find with a Desilu/NBC connection.
