Torchwood: Miracle Day episode one "The New World"

I'd rather see Jack wander into the world of Californication.
Finally it saw it on Spacecast who finally fixed the damn sound. I thought it was fantastic. I loved the Owen mention! Thought it was a really strong first episode and the preview for the rest of the season suggests we're in for something really big and special.
I know this has been brought up before, we mentioned it during COE but no humans dying on Earth would bring the Doctor's attention. Although in-universe right now I supposed if Miracle Day is taking place around the same time as series six is he is in the past.

Well, it's time travel, so it doesn't necessarily take place at the same time as Series 6. That being said, it's possible he isn't visiting Earth at this point in history, so he doesn't know about it.
Or more likely Sexy knows about it, but also know's Jack 'n' Gwen have it handled, so it would be too boring for him.

We've seen the Torchwood crew on DW, but i wonder if we'll ever see (not just hear TARDIS) The Doctor on TW. I mean Buffy has made it out to see Angel well at least once.
Last time we saw him, the Doctor was busy fighting that Eye Patch Lady sometime in the future.
In addition, maybe the events of Miracle Day are one of those "fixed points in history" which shouldn't be changed or influenced anyway.

My 11 year old son LOVES Torchwood, but I'm hearing that now that it's on Starz, it's racier (language and nudity)... Was there evidence of this in the first episode?
I'm almost thinking of adding Starz as the wait is killing me, but I don't want to do it if he can't watch it... I'll wait for netflix/DVD if that's the case...

Not in the cut I saw, no.
Nah, no sex, nudity or bad language really. A little bit of gore, but, no worse than you would've seen before. Matter of fact, the first episode was one of the tamest Torchwoods in regards to sex.
John Barrowman has said there's full on, nude, male on male sex in one of the first few episodes though.
I think it was made clear that the Doctor will never be on Torchwood simply because they don't want him on an adult show since that would encourage children to watch it.
No I don't know why this rule doesn't apply to other Doctor Who characters like Jack or Martha, or why the Torchwood cast can guest star on Doctor Who.

Look up a couple posts though, Bob The Skutter mentions an upcoming scene you definitely may want to censor.

Doctor Who was codenamed Torchwood while filming, that's where the name came from, I believe.
Torchwood is a spin-off, yes, but it wasn't originally written that way.
RTD's script for "Everything Changes" had been in the drawer for years before production began on Doctor Who. What in the Doctor Who universe was called "Torchwood" was, in Davies' original script, called "Excalibur."
That's been my theory for both this & "Children of Earth" & pretty much every other apocalyptic invasion from the 1st 2 seasons & The Sarah Jane Adventures that the Doctor didn't show up for.
Yeah, and no Angel regulars besides Angel himself ever made any crossover appearances on Buffy after becoming Angel regulars. As a primarily Angel fan, that makes me a sad panda.
That blonde woman was a bit useless when Jack had to prompt her to ask, "What's Retcon?" What's the point of adding a new American character if she's not going to ask the proper questions necessary for newbie exposition?!?!
(It's the same reason why they got rid of Liz Shaw; she spoke nearly as much technobabble as the Doctor.)Similar threads
