I'm surprised the Japanese hadn't done a high quality anime version of Godzilla sooner. Could be interesting.

That trailer looks pretty cool, anyone seen a translated version?
Is Get Going Godzilland the only time Godzilla has spoken?
Amazingly, no. The Japanese version of 1972's Godzilla vs. Gigan contains these rather wild sequences:
That is crazy, I've never seen those before. I had some trouble understanding what they were saying past all the roaring.
Actually, the Japanese version only contained the speech bubbles and the "monster language" screeching introduced in "Ghidorah, the three-headed Monster". The voice-over was exclusive to the English dub, though I think those scenes were cut in many releases. I did own the British VHS from 1998 for quite a while (and watched it at least a dozen times in the years I had it), and those scenes, including the voice-over, were on that.
I wonder if anyone ever thought to inclining the sets?
If someone in a suit walks up a slope--that has a camera and skyscrapers on it--it might make an actor in a dino-type suit who cranes his neck up look a bit more like real dinosaurs who walked more level.
Inclined sets might allow for explosives to push debris farther.
