TJ Hooker after 20 years

Cheapjack

Fleet Captain
TJ Hooker is repeating on Freeview TV in the UK at the moment.

I love watching Bill doing anything, but once you've seen Reservoir Dogs, it's a bit dated!

Imagine if they cut Romano's ear off!!??

Not a bad show. Old-school Aaron Spelling with Heather Locklear and a guy who looks like Victor Mature. :D

Anyway, this is more suited to General Media, so I'll beam it over there.

Stand back whilst I do the Mod Hand Jive! Whee-oooo!

It must just be me. Victor Mature looks nothing like James Darren.

He could, however, be Jerry Orbach's twin brother.

^Viz magazine once had a character called Victor Immature, who went about laughing at farts, innuendo and the likes ...

Actually, I was talking about the younger guy, whose name turns out to be Adrien Zmed. :D

The guy playing TJ Hooker looks familiar. Has he been in anything else? Is he Chris Pine's dad?

No, you remember, he was Spencer Tracy's aide in Judgment at Nuremberg. And he may have done one or two things of note later on...

Yeah. That movie that was entirely in Esperanto...Incubus.

And American Psycho II. An instant classic, of course.

I think he did a couple of Twilight Zones. Pity, really, I think he could have done more in the sci-fi, genre.

Funny to think that such an average (at best) show has been referenced by movies as disparate as True Romance and Charlie's Angels. Just goes to show, you can't beat the power of The Shat.

I'm not sure he was an actual understudy, but it seems like I'm remember him taking over a Jeffrey Hunter role. But I could be wrong. That was a long time ago.

I think that show went on for a couple of seasons. I know that one of them anyway, I think it was Leonard McCoy, went on to star in Mission Impossible.
