Spoilers Titans - DC Universe Series

Yeah, they announced that a few months ago, and even revealed his costume already.
Have they given any indication if we'll ever see any of the other Justice League members besides Bruce?

I don't think so.

As far as I can remember seeing, they've confirmed a bunch of Bat characters (Babs, Tim, Scarecrow for sure) but I don't recall seeing anything about the bigger name heroes. I think this is the first confirmation we've gotten that Bruce would even be back in some role.

I hope they are an actual team this time round

Maybe even a team of super heroes rather than murderous psychos..

I like Titans a lot more than I probably should, given my well-documented aversion to grimdark. The stuff with Conner and Krypto last season (the main reasons I bothered with the show in the first place) was really great.

Superboy and Krypto are also why I'm watching, but I can't agree it was anywhere near "really great". They gave Krypto a body count, ffs.

Fair enough. I think by that point I was so accustomed to ye olde Titans ultraviolence that it barely registered.

So Donna Troy is still in the show? I guess her death doesn’t stick?

So they're doing a pretty direct version of Jason Todd's death in the comics? I had assumed if he died before becoming Red Hood, they'd do something involving one of the characters they'd already used on the show.

Nice trailer--I'm wondering how they're going to fit Kory and Blackstar's story into the series. Hoping this gets a fourth season and we actually get a bit of a space adventure.

She's a comic-book character, so that's not particularly surprising. ;)

Didn't they fly her back to Paradise Island (not going to try and spell it from memory, LOL) at the end of season 2 to try and revive her? Guess it worked and by putting her on the poster, it's not much of a spoiler.

Honestly while the show had a good start, season 2 didn't do much for me. It seemed unable to really focus on any particular story thread, nor could it really tie them all together into anything resembling cohesion, and if this trailer is any indication that pattern looks to continue.

It feels like instead of making this a serialised ensemble drama, what they really should be doing is making it a loosely connected anthology show. Do one arc, then move on, do another, and move one, rinse & repeat. Some arcs focus on a particular character while the others show up in a limited role or not at all, only to have their own stories later.

It's weird because any other time I would be very excited at seeing Oracle (with an option for Cassandra Cain later), but given the brevity at which this show handles it's characters, I'm not hopeful of anything substantive.

The latest trailer didn't impress me. The Red Hood costume doesn't look right. Looks too cheap or something. Also I feel this is going to be another overstuffed season with too large a cast.

The ingredients are there for a good series, but the first two seasons it felt often like too much, too fast, and too X-treme (especially the first season). I was hoping they would tone it down a bit once they got settled in and give the stories and characters time to breathe and growth. But they're going right into "Death in the Family/Under the Red Hood", and I imagine we'll get the Starfire story along with Superboy as well. Each of these could be a whole season by themselves, but I can't imagine they'll be able to successfully juggle all those balls, as well as give some more angst to Hawk, Dove, and stuff for the other characters to do as well.

I wonder how much the Joker will be on this series, or if he'll just be in the background. Hopefully we'll see more of the Titans Batsuit and Iain Glen in it. I liked his Bruce Wayne in Season 2. Seemingly taking Batman out of the "Death/Hood" stories doesn't sit right with me. From a series perspective I get the focus on Grayson, but it changes the dynamics from a father-son conflict to a brother-brother one.

I find it fascinating that all the talk of diversity with the MCU focuses on the women, and completely excludes Black Panther, which had a diversity of looks but not one felt like a sterotype like "bootleg Starfire", which i feel when they first showed her look, it felt like the bootleg "Hawkmen" fromt he FLash Gordon series a decade ago (!). Had they started with the new costume to begin with, there would be a lot less criticism.

And i don't get how the MCU is "yikes".... to me, the attempt at diversity with Challenge of the SUperfriends with characters like Samurai, Apache Chief and El Dorado is way mor ein the Yikes category!

I would love to hear the thoughts from @TREK_GOD_1 and other African Americans on this diversity issue (and especially Starfire)

Oh... i still haven't seen TItans yet, but did Changeling ever get green skin at all? His green hair looked a bit more natural, and he had a costume that looked a little more like the comic, right?

Late to this party, but since you sought out more African American opinions on Titans' Starfire, I can say when I first saw the Season 1 stills for the character, they were cringe worthy. This has nothing to do with Anna Diop who is a fine actress, but I didn't care for the prostitute look at all. There's a long and disreputable history of casting black women as prostitutes for movies/television, and that stems IMO from a longer history of even more disgusting stereotypes about black sexuality, and in this instance, black female sexuality.

I do think Diop has done much to make this version of the character more digestible, and but I think the obtuseness and desire to be edgy and kewl on the part of Titans creators led them down some regrettable creative paths, hobbling the character's introduction right out the gate.

I loved the first season's vibe. It was very late-90's, over the top and drenched in angst. More is more and too much is never enough.

Season 3??

I watched the first two episodes but couldn't get into it. Mind you, I was in a bad place then. Never really considered going back. I wasn't aware there was a season three. Maybe I should try and get back into this.

For what its worth, I almost stopped watching after the first couple of episodes as well. It does get better.
