this is not good. In hospital.

After the discussion about Patientline and how rubbish it is, guess what I found out? My ex works at the hospital, as a Patientline employee. I walked in to her just as I was coming out of the toilet on the last day there and she was just leaving work. Didn't talk much, but apparently she now has 2 kids (1 more than last time I met her) and she said something to my mam about she's getting divorced, I didn't even know she was married, and her parents too apparently.
She seemed to be a bit of a different person than she used to be. Would have been nice to get a chance to catch up.

Things move in mysterious ways... is it God or the Devil that engineered the reunion...? :shifty:

Glad you're feeling better!

It's Patientline, so has to be the devil....

Everyone is telling me today how much better I look, so I guess something is working. Whether it's the rest I've been getting or just the antibiotics are kicking in.

Just got back from my nephew's birthday party. It's still going on but I just started feeling worn out... and was advised not to get too much sun. So I've come home early, but he seemed to be loving his paddling pool, and enjoying all the goings on.
But it was nice to be there for the afternoon sat out in the shade and watching him open his presents and enjoying himself.
And today the antibiotics was all don't pretty quickly, was in a bit late but got out earlier than any day so far.

Or Billy Joel:
"I'd rather laugh with the sinners than cry with the saints cos sinners are much more fun!"
Nice paraphrase of John Milton's "Paradise Lost" Book I, line 263 of course. :bolian:

But of course.

Which was, of course, a reverse rip off of psalm 84:10.
And that was quipped from a remark made by Gilgamesh to Sargon at a strip club on Route One in Mesopotamia.

^Unlikely since they lived (if Gilgamesh ever did live) about 400 years apart.

Besides, that would have been a strip temple, not a strip club. With priestesses for dancing girls.

I'm glad to read about you getting better, Bob, and being home is the best feeling in the world. :)

Thanks. Things seem to be going well the last few days. The outpatient nurse was back and made the world of difference, organised and ready to go. She just changed my dressing and took some blood tests and away we went before 11, a lot quicker than usual.

Think between my nephew's birthday party on sunday and shopping yesterday I over did it and wore my self out again. I was knackered half of yesterday, be resting up again the next few days I think. Time to go get ready to go out for today's treatment.

I had my appointment in Leeds yesterday, everything seemed go well as could be expected, and he was happy enough to go home and wait a couple more months for the tests, so long as my team think everything is going well enough.
Which it seemed to be, until this morning I felt worn out, which I would have put down to the who rush around yesterday getting to Leeds and everything, until I got to hospital and my temp was 38c. Which caused blood tests/blood cultures and the consultant to come down and see me.
He said if I start feeling worse again I should get back in there. But as it stands he's sent me back home and told me to keep an eye on it. And he'll see me on Monday to discuss the results if I'm not back in there.

I hope you mange to stay out of hospital.
Bob you might like to pop in to TNZ where we are discussing the NHS or the evil NHS depending on your point of view.
