Think up a new, post-NEM movie idea

I like the idea of the Titan being destroyed/sacrificed to save the Enterprise. At the end, Riker becomes the new captain of the E-E

or, make Wesley the bad guy with his Traveler powers. He eventually realizes how wrong he's been and sacrifices himself to correct his mistakes. there could be a touching scene between Bev and her son, which would do her character justice

could also include Spock, if Romulans are involved

I don't think I could come up with anything better than what's already been written with the novels. I'd love to see a Star Trek: Destiny miniseries.

Morgan Bateson re-takes command of the U.S.S. Enterprise-E with Worf as his X.O. after Picard's called away on a mission of his own (fill in the rest yourself.) & teams up with the Titan versus..(fill in the rest yourself.)

Religion and science intersect on a small doomed world. When Riker and the Enterprise arrive they find Q as the worlds messiah... with his flock waiting for the end times.

I'd only use the characters that were actually needed to tell the story. Which would probably limit Picard, Crusher, LaForge and Worf to cameos at most. Introduce some new characters to carry the torch into the future.

I want a movie focusing entirely on the Breen as the bad guys. Within this movie we finally discover the Breen homeworld and we get to see the Breen without their suits on.

Now then, what could be the plotline. Hmmmm.

Never really found the Breen all that interesting. Besides, whatever was under the suit would be a disappointment... never meeting what you had imagined. I'd just like to see Trek push in new philosophical directions. Trek and TNG were great at capitalizing on the social trends of the sixties and nineties respectively, new productions need to reflect life in the 21st century.

I just saw TNG-1stSeason-"Where No One Has Gone Before".
I don't know what happens to Wes from there since
I haven't seen all the other episodes but i think this is a good window for a story. Have Wes and the Traveler in a storyline where they go evil. They could be a Darth Sidious/Vader-like team.

Wesley ends up married to Robin Lefler (cutting room floor edits from "Star Trek: Nemesis"), & Assistant Chief Engineer on the Titan. Somewhere along the line he ends up as Captain of the U.S.S. Hood (see the novel, "Imzadi") after Deanna & Lwaxanna both pass away, & Riker's quite elderly.

The best way I can think to show change would be to have the old crew reunite to celebrate the maiden voyage of the Ent-F.

Out of deference to ChristopherPike's great idea about using ENT's Andorians, I'll make the new captain an Andorian female.

Between the destruction of the Ent-E (not sure how) and the launching of the Ent-F:
-Picard becomes an ambassador
-Crusher becomes captain of a medical ship like in All Good Things
-Worf is given command of his own starship & Geordi becomes his XO

Something happens that turns the Ent-F crew rogue and Worf & Riker call on their friends for help in tracking the ship down before it starts a war with somebody-Breen, Tholians, Gorn, or Romulans.

I just saw 'Contagion' from TNGS2.
I really really liked this story and how it unfolded.
I would even base a future movie on the Iconians time travel
and have a movie based on that as a foe or something revolving
around that theme.

Essential ingredients for me:

A reflection that TNG characters have moved on since Nemesis. Somewhere close to 6-8 years in real time. No attempt must be made to hide their age, like Star Trek VI the story should mirror reality. So maybe the crew's reputation with Starfleet has been tarnished since the Shinzon incident. Their thunder stolen in recent years by a new hot shot Captain who took over the Titan and has been out saving the Federation countless times since. The story takes a turn for the worse when he goes spectacularly off the rails, causing a mutiny on the ship and heading off into Romulan space.

Admiral Jean-Luc Picard (having been forced into retirement, he has a distinguished beard) is guest of honour at the Enterprise's decommission ceremony. He's also become B4's keeper, who still hasn't been able to evolve back to Data's level. Also in attendance are William Riker (left the Titan in bad circumstances, which will be central to the plot), Deanna Troi, Miles O'Brien* (teachers at the Academy), Beverley Crusher (head of Starfleet Medical). With greater advances in starship design, overseen by Geordi La Forge - the ENT-E herself had been quietly withdrawn from exploration/defence missions. Spending its final days ferrying Federation dignitaries to and from Earth.

Worf, now a Klingon Ambassador in Romulan space joins the fray later in the film. He's stationed at a planet which comes under attack from the Titan. The difference here, (contrast to FC & INS) he hasn't been able to drop everything to attend the reunion. Instead the action (and the Enterprise) will come to him.

An all-new female character, 1st Romulan in Starfleet or some such.

Throw in an Andorian henchman for the bad guy aboard the Titan. That make-up from ENT is still fantastic and deserves to be seen again.

* "The Chief" deserved to be in a Next Gen film and I'd be interested to see where his life took him (post DS9).

I'd pay to see this! :techman: Really nice thought out idea there!

All I can say, is what I DON'T WANT:

No Wesley.
No Data Reset, limited and less-annoying B4 screen time.
No Time Travel.

I can add, an appearance by Q would be nice. Also, Tasha Yar's Romulan daughter, could have at least some minor role in the movie.

I'd probably begin the movie with Picard and Crusher on Earth still getting used to life as a married couple--Picard is now the commandant of Starfleet Academy and Crusher is now captain of the medical training ship Hopewell, which very rarely leaves the Sol System. It's only been six weeks since their wedding and Picard's decision to leave the Enterprise and accept a promotion to admiral.

The Enterprise-E has a new young female captain with Worf as first officer and LaForge still as chief engineer. The rest of the crew are newcomers. The ship has been upgraded and slightly redesigned in the years since Nemesis, and can now be considered a Sovereign-class variant. The ship is preparing for its first mission under the command of its new captain.

Q appears while Picard is in office at the Academy and warns him that he has unfinished business left to take care of. The parasite aliens from "Conspiracy" have returned and have already once again infiltrated Starfleet--with the intent of destroying the Federation from within.

What happens next are betrayals from former allies and new alliances with former enemies. The revelation of a plot connection with Insurrection. A major battle between several Federation starships. The return of Riker and Troi with the Titan. A brief cameo by Admiral Sisko from DS9 (done ala the way with Janeway during Nemesis). And Picard returning one last time to command the Enterprise, not on a mission of war, but on an even more dangerous mission of peace by confronting "the Nucleus" of the parasite aliens face-to-face.

Movie ends with Riker accepting command of the Enterprise-E and the ship heading out into the starlight ala the Enterprise-A in TUC...

C.E. Evans: Why would "Q" be allowed to tip-off Picard to the nucleus of the bluegill threat, without getting spanked by the rest of the Continuum? I agree with everything else (well, except for "Admiral" Sisko.) I'd keep him as a "Captain". I'd have Captain Morgan Bateson (temporarily) re-take command of the Enterprise-E as he did in 2371 at the Enterprise-E's initial shakedown cruise.

I could see Deanna or Lwaxanna trading a telepathic heads-up, via Captain Sisko, & a secondary heads-up via Chief O'Brien and someone else like Garak that something's "not right".

I'd do a low-budget, very quiet DS9 film, unlike anything a Star Trek movie has attemped before. I would, of course, face great fan suspicion for this, but the fans would fall in line after the movie won the Palme d'Or at Cannes.

Q is still the Continuum's bad boy and will still occasionally do things to tick off the rest of the Q. Besides, Q knows Picard well enough to know that he wouldn't want to sit this one out.

Oh, God no. I hate the idea of Starfleet turning over one of its most powerful and advanced ships to someone who's 100-years behind every other captain in the fleet. It's best that Bateson stay with the Bozeman, and I promoted Sisko because I would figure that Bajor's now a member of the Federation by now and he's in charge of Bajor Sector Operations while Kira's the CO of DS9 (gives Sisko the ability to be on either Bajor or DS9 at any given time, IMO).

Besides...it just ain't fair that Janeway becomes an admiral because her ship was lost in space for seven years and Sisko just gets a "thank you" card for playing a key role in saving the Federation from both the Dominion and the Pah-wraiths...

Hey, she got the ship back despite the enormous energy consumption for her hairdo. That´s gotta amount to something. ;)
But then again there was a lot to make up for the amount of chauvinism. The first hero ship of a show, commanded by a woman and she manages to get far enough off course that it would take them 70 years to get back home. :D

In fairness after the finale he was probably classed as MIA and may never have returned. Even if he had, Command might not know where his loyalties lie.

Janeway is understandable if they wanted her to take a desk job after the stress of getting Voyager home, or maybe they felt she made the wrong descisions at times and felt her descisions are better made in an admin job.

Though it felt really strange seeing her pushed ahead of Picard. Poor Harry's an ensign for seven years and she rubs it in his face with her own promotion.

Why not have Admiral Janeway take the Enterprise-E while Picard's on Earth answering for the Battle of The Bassen Rift & the loss of Data? By this time, Chakotay's been promoted to Captain of Voyager. Get Dr. Pulaski & a few other crewpersons loyal to the Enterprise-E thrown together like Kirk did to steal the Enterprise-A, get the Hopewell & others together with Chakotay's Voyager & go kick butt.
