Things that frustrate us all

^Then please get your blood sugars checked. Having to get up to pee during the night is a typical symptom of early diabetes. Your kidneys are starting to filter out superfluous sugar from the blood and to dispose of it.

Spending all this time at home and I still am not done organizing it!
same here! Also, I'm having massive problems with anxiety fits (no connection to Corona) and fighting them down requires all my energy so that none is left for tidying up.

not as long as your kidneys work. The "kidney threshold" for sugar is different with everyone but it always means a lot of stress for the kidneys and if they get overworked they might cease to work.
In pharmacies you can buy test strips for sugar in the urine. When you eat a lot of sugar, even in a healthy person the result can be positive. Therefore you should test several times on different days. If you have several positive tests you should see a doctor.
No worries, being diabetic isn't that terrible :) You can still have sugar in your tea, only you have to keep an eye on the daily amount.

How early? I've been getting up at least once a night all my life. It's only in the last five years or so that it's increased to twice a night. I just assumed it was a sign of getting older.

It is often a sign of just getting older = weaker bladders for women, prostate & bladder issues for men. Good times. :vulcan:

Had to get up early to work; it was nice to get a shift --God knows I need the money--but getting up when it's still dark out is doing me in. It wouldn't be so bad if it was constant but it's more like once every week or two. Hubby regularly stays up to 1am, so that is the schedule I normally keep. Then to have to change to suddenly getting up at 6am or 6:30 am.....UGH. I'm so tired, I can't even think.

I'd count that as something good. I mostly have nightmares. Usually I can forget them quickly but some are so horrible that they follow me all day.

It sounds a nice way to regard it. I used to work as a dream analyst and I’m pedantic about understanding the messages in my dreams. Sometimes it feels like an investigation where I’ve forgotten the clues.

I finally found a style of jeans that are not only comfortable but for my fat ass. I bought three pairs in the last year and a half. And the only store that carried them? JC Penney.

Figures. :vulcan:

Rest in Peace, JC Penney.

these things are very frustrating .. I find. it is a kinda big annoyance -- yep-

My husband refuses to do anything about the old smoke detector that keeps going off. We just replaced the batteries in two of the five but one that got a new battery is still going off. It's old as hell and just needs to be replaced. I made him pull it down and take the battery out. It's STILL going off. I have had to listen to it for TWO FUCKING DAYS--even had to work today with it chirping loudly just a few feet away---making me jump about three or four times an hour. I *hate* loud noises. I'm not afraid of much, but loud noises wear me out and give me such anxiety that I can't even explain it. I'm not just sleeping with earplugs now; I wear them most hours of the day because I can't stand the noise. It's like I'm reliving the Friends episode with Phoebe and smoke detector. Only it's not funny.

I've Googled the solution and one of them is to pull the breaker and get it to reset. Hubby won't allow it because he's working online--I get that but for FUCK'S SAKE, take a break and make that god damn noise stop!!!!!!!!!!!
