Things that frustrate us all

. . . This heat is insane. I'm down to wearing just my boxers, and it's still not enough to keep me cool. Proof of what I have always said... "If you're cold, you can always add layers. If you're hot, even after being naked, you're screwed."

It's why I'll always take cold over heat.
I'm 100% with you. I don't mind the cold, but I absolutely melt in the heat. The only upside to hot weather is that women are going around half-dressed.

(Okay, so I like half-dressed women. So sue me.)

I've used them to play Candy Crush Soda on the the Kindle Fire...and sketching on the iPad back when I had one
At least it's your sinister side so it's true to form.

Sinister is the left side... I never heard that. I need to tell my wife this when I get home later. (She is left handed, as well as a lot of the members of her family.)

Ever done a neuroconductivity test for your fingers?

Except for being sick enough that I need antibiotics (which is rare), I haven't seen a doctor since April of 2004. (And only that time was because Nestle required a physical before hiring.) Before that, unless I was really sick, hadn't seen one since high school.

So definitely not.

Very old wives tale. My uncle is ambidextrous because he was born left handed, but his dad thought he was sinister so taught him right handed. I remember asking him about it because he got me started on a scifi author and it showed up in one of the books he had let me borrow.

Just a curiosity. I would be curious what your fingers are doing.

Left hand? One of two things: Either holding the phone up so I can type with the right hand, using one finger. (I type very quickly on a keyboard with both hands, but I can't use more than one finger at a time with cell phones or touchscreens. Too many errors happen as it is using one finger, forget about trying to utilize all 5.) Or if I have the phone on a flat surface, the left hand just rests on my chin like the thinking man pose.

During times of using a 'how to' video while working on said stuff, I'll have to switch to my left hand to hold whatever in place and use my right to unpause. (Thankfully, my left side tends to be stronger than my right, so if it's trying to hold something that requires strength in place, my left can do this.)

Oh, okay. I definitely misread what you meant.

My left hand, daring to not work properly? It's got some nerve...
Well, tendinitis in the elbow can impact conductivity, though it sounds like you have full range of motion and dexterity so it problem isn't a nerve problem.

Just idle curiosity on my part.

@Farscape One, have you ever gotten on the fingers of your left hand? My mom has trouble with touchscreens sometimes and she think's it because she got frostbite on her hands when she was younger.

If frostbite happened on my left, it most certainly should have affected the right... both were used with frozen products for 24 years.

AT&T router update... it still hasn't shown up. One of the postal people thought it was odd and to contact AT&T about it.

Piers Anthony wrote a sci-fi time-jumping type history story about the consequences of one of the main characters being left-handed. It was pretty interesting… ‘Shame of Man’, I believe it was called.

Fitbit (google) pushed an update on their Charge 5 devices. It bricked a ton of them. They aren't replacing them unless you are still under warranty. If you aren't they just give you a coupon for a small discount off another fitbit.

My charge five died last September under warranty so they replaced it - I got it near November. So I've had it like 9 months and I'm not covered because warranty is based on original purchase date not device date. So I'm not covered for a replacement.

So basically Google for sick of people not upgrading their devices in less than two years and killed them all via software to force users to buy new ones.

My replacement will not be Fitbit/google.

They are in the midst of a massive mustang round up in Nevada right now, and so far there have been five deaths, including Sunshine Man, the stallion in the video below, and two foals.

And a mare died today after her family was chased into a trap and she ran headfirst into a panel and broke her neck. I believe a foal also coliced and died after being chased,
