Chicken Soup for the Soul bought Redbox, then ended up driving it into the ground along with their own company by refusing to pay the studios the licensing fees for the movies.

Yeah, I knew that, which in turn made me think they maybe were bought out for cheap. It would make sense to buy a company with the infrastructure already in place rather than starting one from the ground up.

The Librarians revival got pulled at the CW, who replaced it on their future schedule with a reality show. So it's going back to TNT which made the original series.

Huh... I honestly thought that show was done and they were going to go with the Matt McConaughey thing. Well... cool, then. :)

I think the main thing Paramount hates is that Yellowstone is streaming on Peacock instead of Paramount Plus, which is why they were talking spinoff rather than continuation. Only Yellowstone goes to Peacock while everything else that's part of the Yellowstone universe is staying at Paramount Plus. NBC Universal got the streaming rights prior to Paramount trying to make a go of their own streaming service.

The McConaughey spinoff never materialized. But they are making a new show set in the same world starring Kurt Russell and Michelle Pfeiffer.

I would love to see them bring back "My So Called Life" and show us where they are today. I see Angela and Brian married and with kids. Living a suburban life. Enrique is living in San Francisco and is a teacher. Jordan Catalano works at a gas station and is married but divorced. Also with a kid. Rayanne works as a nurse. Also has married and divorced. Spent a few years in jail. Sharon is principal of their old high school. Danielle has gotten married and is a housewife to some rich guy living in Colorado. Patty and Graham are retired and living in Florida . Camille has a job on the school board.

Those are oddly specific.

I loved the show. I have been wanting to see a follow up for some time. Also it's all stuff I think sort of lines up with who they were and what kind of adults they might have become.
