Spoilers The Strange New Worlds Starship Thread™

Damn… Never thought I’d see a Larson on-screen. It’s a little bit beefier than I expected, but still…

I wonder if they’ll go into denial about it like with the PIC S3E1 appearance of the non-Federation class dreadnaught models at Guinean’s bar.
The beefiness comes from using the Malachowski hull, but damn, that hull totally works.

I think anything FASA produced under their Star Trek license is fair game, it's really only the Franz Joseph designs that have the weird rights issues since all of that stuff was produced independently and then licensed to Paramount.

No, because:

- it’s not actually a FASA Larson, whereas those little Eaglemoss type models very clearly represented the FJ dreadnought, and besides…

- FASA isn’t a thing anymore. CBS can use their designs because there’s no copyright on them, and I believe Paramount owned the designs anyway. They already used a FASA Loknar as a previous Titan in LDS.

Yep. And Paramount ended FASA's Star Trek license in 1987 when FASA put out their unauthorized TNG Sourcebook for the Star Trek RPG just before the TNG pilot aired.

FASA assumed they had the rights to EVERYTHING Star Trek (even unreleased stuff); but they didn't and Paramount took them to court over it too. Plus the information used for the Sourcebook was obtained via non-standard channels and A LOT of it had changed (IE was incorrect) by the time the final version of the TNG pilot episodes aired.

You are correct in your room identifications. However, this is not a singular deck plan but rather a composite of multiple decks showing locations of key rooms throughout. For instance, that’s the bridge (not an auxiliary bridge) in the very center of the saucer, surrounded by sick bay and the overflow infirmary. I will be posting my recreation of this graphic on my social media accounts on Monday.
Is it up? Links please if so!
