Spoilers The Strange New Worlds Starship Thread™

Only makes sense. Starfleet loves to reuse saucer designs in various classes. Maybe we'll get to see an unmodified Crossfield!
Hmm. I wonder if they would ever give us anything reminiscent of Hunter-G's Crossfield redesign.

Or Brandon Minnick's redesign with deep orange Bussard collectors per TOS.

We see a Farragut-type and an Archer-type at Starbase 1.
We see drones flying about the space station.
At 1:39, there is a Federation ship docked at Starbase 1. It's partially obscured. It appears to be a new design.
Then, there's the new Crossfield-class with the registry NCC-1270 (?).

the ''false flag crossfield'' is just the saucer section that they salvaged with random bits and bob of other ships they could get their hand on otherwise it's just weird lol

Very thin ship. but it does have deflector.

Also here is the same class docked at starbase 1 (brightened up and flipped). Those impulse engines are copied right from the NX-Class

That's very strange. On the one hand, it seems to suggest the fake-Crossfield was a legit example of the (un-spore-drived-)design and not a half-convincing kitbash made from random destroyed ships, on the other hand, it's deep in shadow, so maybe it was just intended to fill out the dock without being a specific ship, but on Arex's third hand, if that were the case, why not just use one of the dozen DSC models (unless the "no round nacelles ever" rule has been replaced with "no square nacelles ever," but in that case, just slap some Enterprise nacelles on to one of the DSC ships)?

I wonder if this is what production Crossfields look like? Maybe the Discovery and others were just highly experimental derivatives of the design.
That's what I'm figuring. As I mentioned over in the episode thread, they basically took the existing Crossfield, took out the middle/aft bit, gave it a triangular secondary hull, and slapped on some new Nacelles.

Seeing an unmodified Crossfield has me thinking that the triangular secondary hull was far more involved in the use of the Spore Drive then I originally figured.

I've always wondered what these glowing panels were used for....

Now I figure they, and the rest of the secondary hull are key to producing the Spore Drive effect.

Honestly, this is what I am leaning towards in the absence of /until the presentation of any evidence to the contrary.
