It is inconsistent and was approved.

    Now what?

They can do whatever they want.

Still stupid and makes no sense.

I don’t judge that. Either way, it’s the reality we can see with our own eyes in the episodes and tie-ins. Perhaps Federation Engineering unlocked secrets we haven’t yet dreamed of.

Well, I think it's safe to say that all of Trek is certainly Imagination Powered.

I loved the refit nacelles for decades but am beginning to wonder if that change was necessary.

A line or two about them being upgraded on the inside somehow could have sufficed.

See also, the Klingon bird of prey. Sometimes a small fighter and no match for the 1701, other times a match for a Romulan Warbird or the Enterprise D

Bu it's not just the ship they're portraying a certain way. It's the sets, props and characters too. PRO has been consistently showing the TOS Enterprise, TOS Shuttlecraft, TOS technology, TOS uniforms, TOS characters, etc. (with the sole exception of showing a Crossfield class starship in a hologram, which I suppose we were meant to believe was the Discovery, although no emphasis should have been placed on it because the ship was supposed to be classified.) And adding the TOS references in both LDS and PIC, it seems as though the other shows are blatantly trying to ignore the DSC/SNW aesthetic.* So if they can ignore it as not being part of the 'prime' universe (which LDS, PRO and PIC definitely seem to be), then I can ignore that DSC/SNW take place in the 'prime' universe.

*I understand that there's a rumor that there's going to be an episode of SNW season 2 where Mariner and Boimler from LDS are going to show up in live-action. I will wait until that actually happens before making any further judgment calls.

That is not really the same thing as saying that a ship gets larger after one refit and then gets put back to its original size after a further refit. Not to mention that the Yeager was a far background kitbash that was never meant to be scrutinized or rationalized up close.

At least with that, they rationalized it by saying there were several different classes of BoPs. The tiny fighter wasn't refit into the larger battleship, and/or vice-versa.

It’s no rumor, there is going to be a SNW/LD crossover.

It's not a rumour at all, it was announced at San Diego Comic-Con in July.

The ship wasn't classified, just anything related to the Spore Drive. Official, public records state it was destroyed. One of the memorial pins in 'Memento Mori' was for the USS Discovery, though I don't know who wore it in the episode.

If anyone is interested, Spock was wearing a USS Kongo pin.

I was looking at the bridge dome again, and I noticed something. The hull around the new bridge window darkened in the shape of how it looked in DSC Season 1/2

I very much dispise the long tunnel in front of the bridge window, never visible from inside. I hated the weird glass fronted dome from the Discovery version too. Just do what the Kelvin movies did: move the bridge to the front of the dome. Window is flush without a 20 foot tunnel in front of it and all your problems are solved.

There is no 'tunnel' in the SNW version, they moved the bridge up.
