Different Universe. GR had nothing to do with it.Uh they have the Kelvin from ST09. So that's not true at all.
They don't have anything against bringing in canon single nacelle designs.

Now you're moving goalposts. I'm done here.Different Universe. GR had nothing to do with it.

(IE They don't want to risk the anger of fans of the Gene Roddenberry Starfleet Two Warp Nacelles Rule instituted after he found out Franz Joseph wanted a royalty fee to use is designs from the original Star Trek technical manual in Star Trek The Motion Picture.)
Most likely. When there’s an unnamed class represented on screen by only one named starship, and if that name isn’t already taken, STO tends to name the class after that one ship.I have a feeling that it wasn't actually Farragut Class, and Paramount just didn't have a name for it yet, so Cryptic had to come up with a name.
The ship has the Connie secondary hull, it's just embedded into the saucer, so the warp core may be as big, just less space in the saucer for everything else that would be in a Connie saucer. The Farragut class is a nice kit bash compared to some other's we've seen. Though the fact that it's just a Connie saucer makes me wonder about how small the warp core must be and how small of a crew compliment is must have.
Wow that is just such a wacky design...
I actually like the pylons though the DSC designs still win out for me in a similar configuration.I enjoy looking at it too but, despite its relative simplicity, it's probably one of the most unconventional designs ever made, even above and beyond all the DSC ships. Those nacelle pylons are just... OUT there...![]()
John Eaves said he was very happy when he was allowed to use round nacelles for the Enterprise.Starting with its period-correct round nacelles!![]()
My brain wants the pylons to be straight, but there's really no reason for that (I guess it gives it a bit of a Kelvinverse vibe, too).I enjoy looking at it too but, despite its relative simplicity, it's probably one of the most unconventional designs ever made, even above and beyond all the DSC ships.
