Fun fact... when Teal'c says he plays DEF JAM VENDETTA, it's because Christopher Judge voiced a character in that game.
Childhood's End (SG: A)
This was was just ok for me. I guess because I watched an episode of SG-1 earlier today about a zealot who refuses to have his mind changed because of new information, to see the end of this episode where that Aeries kid doesn't listen to reason and is so hell-bent on continuing the sacrifices feels a tad repetitive. Also, I'm starting to see why McKay is liked. He has some amazing one liners, like calling the ZPM an older version of windows. I had to rewind it to be sure I heard what he said, and I watch with the subtitles on. That was a great line. However, who the hell does he think he is stealing a ZPM that is used as a defense shield for this world. I kinda wish Sheppard gave hip a good punch to the face for that. You can't go to another planet and start stealing technology. I did like his relationship with the two young kids though. It was a cute relationship. Also I was a little confused about the Wraith and just read the plot for Rising to be sure. If the Wraith has just awoken centuries after their battle with the Ancients, then they have not been attacking that village for generations. Of course maybe I have the timeline a little confused but I was a little iffy on that line.

Affinity (SG-1)
Also, Sam says yes to Pete's proposal and I'm asking, why? They don't have much chemistry (We barely see Pete anyway) and I really wish there wasn't the rule of two collegues (especially when one serves under the other) in the military seeing each other, even if I understand why. Jack and Sam have amazing chemistry.

When writing the season, Covenant was meant to be before Affinity, thus why Covenant seems to introduce the Trust while they are known in Affinity. For some reason, a decision was made at the last minute to have Affinity air first.I think this episode might have cleared up some confusions I had regarding the end of Affinity, namely who were those guys who wanted the Goa'uld translation. We're introduced to another Rouge (Or is it the same one) NID section called The Trust,
One thing I've noticed about Season 8 is it really does feel different than all the other seasons so far and a lot of it is it's very earth based. I guess this is what happens when you make your lead the new leader of Cheyanne Mountain, but there are times when I do feel like the show is called Stargate but it's not really about "Stargate". We haven't seen the Jaffa or Tok'ra in a long while, we're getting more SGC episodes, which is good, like Avatar, and everything about this season feels different. That's not a bad thing. I'm actually enjoying Season 8 more than Season 7 at this point (It's still early) but it's just an observation. Also, I was reading some of the synopsis's coming up and there is an episode were we do see Claudia Black for the first time. Considering how she played my favorite character in all of Sci FI ever, I can't wait to see her (And Browder).
By the way, I heard something about Stargate/Farscape Memes? I know 200 is in Season 10, but pretty soon the two stars of Farscape are going to be regulars on SG-1. I'm looking forward to all the Farscape Crossover ideas I can get.![]()
@bigdaddy
I was thinking more along the lines of why you don't rush a vaccine and the debate we are having now regarding treatments and vaccines. I never said Covid was the flu because yeah it's worse.

Watching later SG-1 is a lot of 'Where is the Stargate?', it wasn't because Jack was leader, it was for budget control. Filming 'on Earth' is cheaper than 'off world'. In order to do big things later on they needed to save money. Stargate does big things really well.
