The Sir Patrick Stewart Topic

That's really nice of all those involved to do that. :)

Yup... I expect for him to do a lot of this kind of stuff soon. The man NEEDS to act, and he's gonna participate in pretty much anything that gives him the chance to do that under the current circumstances. ;)

And yup, guess I was right... here we go with the next project - an auction. If you have a lot of money to spare you can win a Shakespeare acting lesson with him. (Virtual lesson, of course.)

And here's a new sonnet from him: Click Me

Yep. The rich have a chance there. No one else does. Still nice though. Not gonna knock it.

Yeah, those auctions are always for the rich - which isn't a bad idea since they have the most money and it IS for charity. But yeah, I will admit that it does make me a bit sad that I'll never have a chance to participate in something like that. There have been so many awesome auctions that either involved getting an item from a set or a piece of clothing or lunch with him or whatever else, but yeah, it's usually for charity aka for the rich. But hey, being a devoted fan of an actor IS an expensive hobby in general, even without pricey auctions. lol

Yep. Will never have a chance to go to a comic con, given the prices. Too rich for my blood. Would have loved to have gotten a signature from Leonard Nimoy though.

It's expensive even without conventions (I've only ever been to one convention to see him and that was only because he was in my country for the first time). You have to keep up with stuff and you have to order stuff from all over the world and then you run into expensive cardboard cutouts that you absolutely HAVE to have even though the shipping is twice as much as the cutout itself, and then there's the whole theater angle and you just HAVE to fly to England to see him live on stage because you prefer this over conventions by a factor of about a zillion... yeah. Sir Patrick is expensive. But he's worth it, of course. And more. And then some. :)

Ah. Yea, and for anyone who is able to do so, that's great. :) I just appreciate what is actually affordable. A lot of the rest is a part of a whole other world, that a lot of people can't afford.

Went to a small con though and got to listen to a Magic the Gathering artist talk. It was pretty cool.

Yeah, it's one of the "Sir Patrick NO" stories out there that are just so funny because it's SO like him to be utterly oblivious but still incredibly polite.

I just came across a picture that simply says "perfection".
