Yeah it does seem to be horribly over-windowed. They also have them covering the warp engine pylons where only the intermix tube and other utility conduits should go, yet they make that whole surface look like it’s habitable.

To be fair the original Enterprise also had windows on its warp nacelle pylons.

I would think so. There would be no reason, otherwise, to have windows there if they weren't meant for humanoid consumption.

I've been around 30 years a fan and never saw the problem with window size/placement on Star Trek ships, but once the issue is seen it simply cannot be unseen. Damn logic and reason spoiling cool things again.

The name decal on the dorsal saucer is hard to spot on the XL Reliant. I'd modify that before putting it on display.

Agreed. None of them are perfect (although the main-line Merchantman is also pretty close), but from a shape and coloring POV, and aside from the anemic name decal, the XL Reliant is close to the best as you can get.

Will we ever see the rooms (on the Cerritos as well!) with the windows on the floor? The E-D had them very slanted so they were just about believable as windows, but these are floor and skylights.
