The Sarah Jane Adventures S3 Discussion Thread (UK Pace)

yes I did, and I loved how it inculded its two spin-offs, however what it didnt do, was bring in a TV show that was not already part of the Whoverse, like say StarGate SG-1 (Atlantis or Universe)

Sure it did. The Paul O'Grady Show :bolian:
Eastenders has also been involved... and BBC News...
but it didnt make the fictional shows part of the Whoverse in the same way that Sarah Jane Adventures & Torchwood are.

I like that the show presented an Whoverse version of shows like Eastenders, Paul O Grady & Newsnight, even going as far as to make up shows like "Ghost Watch"

However the Doctor is not going to appear on the set of SG:U, there isnt going to be a Whoverse version of SG:U and the Doctor will not be crossing over with any part of the StarGate franchise.

I know im being picky, but for me its a whole other thing.

I personally think that Torchwood has a 'Gate. :)

im thinking the Gate that is being refenced its going to be a little bit more about a metal gate as seen in the Torchwood Hub

In Remembrance of the Daleks I am pretty sure the Doctor and Ace walk out of a room just as the first episode of Doctor Who is coming on the TV,

yes like the K9 series, im pretending that didnt happen, or given it a vauge ending, the BBC already has a show called "Doctors" so it could be about that, its just that Doctors started really early in the Whoverse for some reason.

I dont care what any of you say I want to see Sarah Jane & co get involved in a "Journal of Impossible Things" TV show

ok I really liked this episode, Cylde again shows what a wonderful companion he would make, I guess most of that is that he learns, and his humour plays well. A strong episode for Rani as well , which makes a change. Im not a fan of this Luke Lite series but Cylde & Rani really shone today.

I assume whatever that machine is, its something that splits time, or possibly dimensions, did wonder for a moment if it was another Xylog but that seems unlikely.

I enjoyed this episode just as much as last week's though for very different reasons.

One of the most scary episodes I think they could get away in that timeslot these days and I thought the acting (of those present) had stepped up a notch from the usual. It helped that a lot of the kiddie elements usually present (Mr Smith, Rani's parents) were conscpicuously absent this week too.

And I'm firmly in the Clyde supporter camp now. Daniel Anthony (I keep on wanting to type Anthony Daniels) is a great actor and the scripts this series are really bringing that to the fore, particularly as Luke isn't around all the time.

I could definitely see Clyde in the parent series sometime in the future.
