The Sarah Jane Adventures S3 Discussion Thread (UK Pace)

Okay, found a quick synopsis online of CoD. Looks like she might remember being one of seven others who just barely missed burning up. Not sure if she'd know anything about a curly haired bloke with a long scarf though.

Anyway, part 2 was a fun bit of fluff. But not what I'd call memorable. In hindsight I'm glad they went with a slightly hammy acttress for Mona. Otherwise I'd have been bored stiff.

Not sure I'm really looking forward to next week though. Season finale, and it features those damn gasbags again.

I thought it was "Blathereen"? Also not the return of the Slitheen so much as the Raxicallicofallipatorians, the Blathereen being a new "family".
 
Though kinda unhappy that we have yet more Raxa....whatever...ians who turn out to be villains yet again. Would be nice to actually meet some friendly ones.

No wonder they're all paranoid.
 
Perfectly average - Oh look, the Slitheen kid is back, and there's a shock- the other Raxans are up to a con job on SJ as well. What a shocker, never saw that coming, yadayada....

I could complain that they shouldn't be farting when not wearing skinsuits, as well...
 
^ My thoughts exactly.

Clyde/Smith/K-9 are great fun though.

ETA: also given how predictable the whole thing was, I'm hedging my bets on the Slitheen saving the day. I figure that would be the requisite cliché in this case. Whatever happens, it surely can't be as bad as s2's finale.

I'm shocked! Shocked, I say - the Judoon didn't appear, thus breaking the SJA season format!

Other than that, still perfectly average, albeit with an amusing way to dispose of the villains...
 
Cylde & K9 are great, Cylde got all the best lines this year.

im glad Luke was saved, but im disappointed he didnt do anything to save the day, and the "saved by the bell" idea is almost worse than the "saved by the mobile phone" endings, the show is prone to.

and the good news, K9 didnt die despite the romours, dare I hope he shows up in doctor who
 
Another fairly weak season finale. Heck, everything after The Wedding episode was on a bit of a downhill slope. Ah well.

At least the Blathereen turned out to be a Slitheen offshoot. So at least the entire race isn't bad. Sarahs little voiceover at the end was rather nice as well.

But really, the character moments and some good lines were about the only thing this story had going for it.
 
I thought the first part of "The Gift" was quite good, the 2nd part a bit of a let down, Sarah Janes speechs (normally at the end & the start of the series) have always been cringeworthy, I hope the kids are liking them.
