The 'oldies' of TrekBBS reunite...

I originally joined with the same user name I have now, sometime in either late 2000 or early 2001. The board at the time was dominated with rampant speculation on (and for some, dread about) what the upcoming series (Enterprise) was going to be like - which was also what had drawn me to the board. Sometime in 2002 I changed jobs and ended up with less and less time to casually browse the web for a while. Plus, Enterprise had actually started and then I was trying to avoid spoilers. And so I guess I kinda sorta went 6 whole years or so without logging in with my old account - I only lurked every once in a while, and didn't need to sign in for that - and it got swept out of the system. :alienblush: But, at least the user name was still available again when I signed back up in Dec. 2008.

Calling all the originals of this board !!!

If you can remember the infamous Voyager flame wars, The Rob Hal World Order, rolled your eyes at Starman's spamming attempts, loved Cureboy's purple ranting shoes and asked the question "where's Core?"... then this is the thread for you !! You may post here everyday or you may post only once every couple of years... but whatever the case, drop in, say g'day and let us know what you're doing these days.
I'm afraid I don't remember any of those things, but I've been here since 1999. Perhaps it was because I rarely strayed from the General Science Fiction forum?

Edit: My profile says I joined Jan 20, 2001. That aint true...

Let me see, my join date was September 24th 2000. This calculates to 3442 days, otherwise known as 9 years, 5 months, 2 days.
My post count is 22,311 which calculates to 6.38 posts per day.

I guess I'm just a newbie. :(

I know several people in this thread!

History: I made my first post almost 10 years ago. But then I didn't come back for several months before posting regularly. So technically it's almost 10 years, but it's really 9 years since I started posting furrealz.
I should know you. Didn't you work with someone? LOL I know that's a vague question, but I remember you working with someone who was on my radar. Be damned if I remember who...

I know the answer to this. HINT: look at my sig.

Ooh, I could go for a badger revival.

Better not let Kronos see this...

I'll admit, I had a lot of fun in those days. :D That was a good time. We had a good lounge crew, several of whom (Froggerita, Anna1, BlackDog, and EWDEE off the top of my head) sadly have vanished into the shadows.

That would be the legendary Sardonica. That's how you know me. ;) We worked together as graphic artists before and during my heyday at Trek and EFCL from 2001-2004. At TK, I was $M Gayboy Bruce Wayne, although now I post under another name. Or 7.

I joined in early 2003 (lurked for a bit before that) not a real oldie, but not a newbie either, Hi :)

Although I offically joined in 2006, I had been trying to join since the late 90s but had continual problems trying to sign on that weren't resolved until the site was redone. I was a member of the original Compuserve Trek board, way back in the stone age. That was the home of the "awesome and all knowing" Mary Taylor, and she never let anyone forget it.

May 17, 2001 here, but I was reading the board a year or more before I actually registered.

I have always kept a low profile, so I'm an oldie nobody knows.
