Accents? I have a pacific northwest accent. That means that I have a standard American accent with a few quirky exceptions; particularly how I pronounce the words roof, root, bagel, bag, and perhaps a few more seem to warrant a lot of teasing from my East Coast pals. Then again, the last time I was in Seattle I got a bit of teasing for the New York accent I seemed to have developed for a few words and phrases; forward is one that my mother says I pronounce with a Brooklyn accent, for example.
