The next villain?

The next villain should be a furious TOS fundie, storming around complaining that the ship's "too big", that everything's "wrong" and using his super power of selective memory to tell the crew again and again how his Trek was better and that this one sucks in every way imaginable.

well that would actually be very meta-and pretty cool. But where's the threat from? Is he a "reality warper" who keeps threatening to restore the look and feel of TOS?

Well. I dunno. I mean, I am available and all that. I guess JJ and I would have to sit down and talk. If the money was right...
what?
hey! You're being sarcastic, aren't you? Why you...!!

I really really hope for Andorians as antagonists and "segregation tendencies" as the villain, but that's just me.

Sorry fellow star trek fan, but the Enterprise series has made Andorians more allies with the Federation due to Captain Archer's help. Also, the Andorians were one of the founding races of the Federation. Now, if you want to see some renegade, hardline Andorians who did not favor the Federation teaming up with some Klingons, there might be something there.

^But with William Shatner played by Adam West!:techman:

here's an idea: what about a villain that's not a one-shot character? Like either a background recurring villain who's not the center of the story or a main villain that lasts for a few movies, like Darth Vader in Star Wars, who gets defeated in ANH but escapes to be in the next two.

How about Captain Garth? Maybe we could see the events that made him lose his mind, and see him in command of a starship run like a pirate ship. You know, half his crew supports him and the other half...tough luck.

Only leave out all that "cellular metamorphosis" stuff.

I think Garth would make a good recurring nemesis for Kirk. He's a superior, more experienced commander, but because he's insane he wouldn't be held back by all those pesky Starfleet regulations.

Oh, and give him a cool ship.

Very interesting ...

I would like to see the Female Romulan commander rise to power and meet Spock. There, the two officers watch wits with each other since there is a new Klingon-Romulan alliance. Kor could be brought in to match wits with Kirk. The unsaid result of failure of Kirk and Spock would be invasion of the Federation or war.

The next villain should know about the Multi-Quote button ->
multiquote_off.gif
and the way it allows one to select several posts, then respond to them all in a single post.

BrotherofShran0, I'll merge yours for you, so that you don't have a string of five in a row. ;)

Bob, if you can get the details worked out with JJ, I'll vote for you for Villain.

Hi M'Sharak. Thanks for the assist. :)

BTW, how did you know that I will be the next villian???

The Cardassians don't really work due to their history. In this century, they're not oppressive subjugators, so a character like Dukat could never really be unless they ignore that history.

And while everything points to Cardassians being present in this time frame and before, there was never any conflict with the Federation until after they occupied Bajor.

Besides, this is an original series remake. You're not likely to see Borg, Ferengi, Cardassians, Breen, Dominion, etc. Those need to stay where they belong, with the next gen series.

Actually there is mention of Borg in TOS part of Star Trek legacy game and in the other hand its a Abramverse where Vulcan is destroyed so i don't think that time frame you mentioning have any sense..

I really hope there isn't a villain. No megalomaniacs, no revenge driven furniture-chewers, no clones of major characters and no alien of the week uber-ship that outclasses everything in the Federation except the captain's ego... Please. I would like to have an interesting antagonist. I really like the idea of them facing a moral dilemma. I am reminded of a module for the old FASA RPG, Denial of Destiny. A planet faces a crisis that will result in the annihilation of its entire population. StarFleet does not have the ability to stop the disaster nor the resources to save the entire population in the time left. To complicate matters, this is a situation where the Prime Directive has not allowed any contact with the aliens save observation. Now the crew of the Enterprise have to make first contact with an alien culture, inform them that they are about to be destroyed, and face the task of deciding exactly who will form the 01% of the population that can be saved....
