Well, I guess I expected Favorite Son to go. It's like "Half a Life"... my dislike of it is personal. Interesting that four of Harry's episodes made this list, but none of them are still here. Which puts them in the "bad, but not utter garbage" category.

Spirit Folk again. It's got a "so bad it's good" vibe about it.

Ugh! Terrible choices. (And I think this might be the first time that the winner and runner up for a single season ends up being the winner and runner up for a Finals game for any show. Says a lot.)

One episode is just awful in how it kills off a recurring character that was forgotten for 6 years, while the other was pretty boring and completely wasted an opportunity to show why Chakotay and Seven end up dating in the finale.

I guess I'll throw my final hat in this game to "NATURAL LAW". Because I guess boring and wasted opportunity is not quite as bad as the other option.

I've only seen VOY season 7 once - but I still remember thinking Friendship One was gutless. If you want to kill a character, why bring back one from the first season just for that?

So I'm rescuing Natural Law and sending Friendship One to the unfriend zone.

"Friendship One" makes a perfect addition to the pantheon. It's just vile.

The treatment of Carey is also such a perfect encapsulation of Voyager's weak spots. Their lazy disregard for continuity caused them to forget this character even existed, and then to apparently misremember that he was killed, because he is twice used in time travel to the past to communicate "THE PAST" -- but since he's still alive, it doesn't actually communicate that!

Then they finally remembered he actually was alive, so the next thought was "let's kill him", in an extremely mean-spirited manner.

And then they underscore the insult with "Endgame." Carey missed Janeway's temporal rescue mission by thiiiiiiiis much.

I almost want to write the fanfic where Carey's wife and kids come looking for Janeway post-"Endgame" and ask her to explain herself.

While I missed the final standoff, I'm pleased with the outcome. For Joe Carey, maybe the one character on Voyager who could envy Harry Kim, "Friendship One" is banished to the trash heap.

Unforgettable was so bad, I couldn't finish it... but I never even tried to watch F1. Nor do I intend to.

Odd observation: except for "SPIRIT FOLK", every winner of this game for VGR has started with an 'F'... "FAVORITE SON", "THE FIGHT", "FURY", and now "FRIENDSHIP ONE".

The lesson? 'F' really does stand failure.

And Voyager continues to have no repeat winners! Are they the only show that never repeats a winner in both Most Disliked and Least Disliked?

It's funny you mention that, because it was part of my 'fun fact' portion of this game.


Fun fact: VGR and TNG are the only shows that DO NOT have a repeat winner for the 'Most Disliked' games. (DISCO is the only prior 'Most Disliked' game of the streaming era that has occured until this point. All others will be brand new because at the time these were done in 2021, no other series had more than one season finished, so I felt it was unfair to have this kind of game without at least one other season to have for a Finals round.)

And to Sakonna's observation, I just checked all the other shows with their 'Least Disliked' winners... and VOYAGER is indeed the ONLY series to have no repeat winners for BOTH games. Great recall, Sakonna!
